Makes no sense though. We reached an agreement with the player means he's happy with the terms. And we're offering more (and more upfront) than the Mancs? He should be on a jet right now for his medical.

Leipzig hasn’t yet accepted either bid - the club has to agree to a sale before anyone is getting on a plane

Disregarding targets whose valuations we can actually meet - because a cartel club might gazump us - would be lunacy imo, and incredibly wet behaviour. If there was only five minutes left of the window it would be an extremely dicey approach, because the risk of losing out is abundantly clear, but with weeks left to do business I don't see the problem in taking a shot at the best targets. That's what we need to guarantee we stay where we are/progress.

It's not about the risk of losing our or being wet. It's about picking targets who are actually attainable.

Id expect we have a rough idea of who is interested in who and tailored our approach accordingly.

Ultimately, we need to be watching what clubs who are either on our par are doing and try and move for those targets if they fit. Especially big European clubs who maybe don't have our financial muscle.

What do we think? Full verbal agreement with both clubs but somehow agreed to way less with Newcastle?

You'll be offering the same as us.

Not sure, I do know that whoever running this at Leipzig is playing a blinder.

Should get them on a game of N-O Traitors.

Only thing which might work in our favour is we can pay all of it up front, so if it really is down to Leipzig then I would think we are the leaders here.

Well there's lots of things that work in our favour. Just don't know which will be decisive.

I can't wait for them to reject the man u bid accept ours and then it will be delayed due man u new bid and people pretending he legitimately wants to come here??? If he wanted to come here it'd be done. Agents wants man u cos easy to milk them dry.

That's why I said if it's down to Leipzig because I'm assuming our package is better for them than Man U's. Not only in total, but the way it is structured.

Just give them the 10 million add on's up front if we want him so badly. Can't see them accepting Man Utd's bid if they are getting 10m up front more from us.

The ironic part is my Man Utd mates are screaming “Nooooo we don’t want him we don’t want to break the bank for such a risky gamble”

just weird, the whole saga.

Absolute joke, scouts are being left to handle top level transfers

Who are our representatives beyond Howe's nephew? You'd think our recent reputation for improving players would be a selling point, but I'm not convinced our transfer team are competent enough to convince target players.

Jamie Reuben was supposedly working on this personally, I'm sure I read?

I will be honest, I have a very strong feeling he wants to use as a stepping stone as Isak did.

As long as we sell for a profit then fine, that’s what we have to learn to do well and embrace if we want to keep growing.
