I actually think he should have from from RBS to Dortmund; his footballing education would have been far superior there - again should have taken the Haaland path. Although having Xavi Simons and Openda is pretty damn great.

At this very moment, I feel a bit more optimistic than this morning. We knew first thing this morning Man U put their bid in. We also “knew” he’s leaving towards Man U. I would have expected this finalised long before 5 pm, according to his decision. But nothing! Leipzig are ok with the deals but the silence is deafening. 
could it be the lad’s giving it serious thought?

Weirdly, I think the striker targets have been improving. Delap being the exception. I’d probably go:

I’m not sure where you go next though. For now, Watkins would sit above them all but I cannot see Villa selling to us and it would be a temporary solution. Jackson at £80m would be bottom of my list above.

How could all of this not also be achieved by getting Man Utd a good deal on the player? 

 

It just seems like a really convoluted way of skimming money off the top, rather than just getting a deal done the player and clubs are happy with and asking for a bigger cut and better wage for the player in return.

Because they have him under contract and he was happy to stay in Leipzig for another season. Players and agents don’t care because they will get more money from final fee %
