Not that old chestnut. I thought that I'd explained that (Bruno). However, Pope in my opinion saves those two goals. Presumably you can't accept that?

They are both lower midtable keepers given the flaws in the game they both have. 

 

Ultimately, we decided to kick the can down the road do a bit of charity by bringing Ramsdale.

We were clearly blindsided by Trafford switching to City. Ramsdale was a last minute save so don't think we can have too many complaints. Other than we should have tied Trafford up earlier.

They’re both not good enough for where we are now so it’s the lesser of two evils for me which is Ramsdale. If the only Pope issue was his passing I would accept him playing but he has made so many errors this year as well.

But again is James Trafford the answer a keeper who's had one good season in his career. At champo level as well. 

 

Just get the best we can afford and stop complicating it. Developing keepers is what selling clubs do.

It does go in slow but he doesnt expect it to come past 2 defenders. He reacts too late bc he thinks defenders have it covered.

Their mistakes don't/haven't always led to goals though. A keepers mistake often does, and costs games/points.

Would Pope have done better on both goals tonight? Maybe, but we'll never know. 

But all keepers let weak goals in at times. Neither goal tonight was a 'mistake' or 'howler' by Ramsdale, unlike some of the recent ones Pope has let in.

Pope saves them in my opinion. You massively underate him. The second one would have rolled into his arms. He has great positioning.
