Nah, it was an option.

It was an option and like Michael Owen once said, it’s one big option. I’m not wincing every time the ball gets fired back to him. I’ve not seen him needlessly slice the ball out for a throw under minimal pressure. What is this sorcery?

First choice going forward?

Always thought he was signed to be 1st choice tbh, makes sense since he can pass

I get that it costs nowt to be nice and it was the decent thing to do, but stuff like that is really lovely to see.

I thought he looked decent enough last night.

Could he have done any better for their goal? Haven't seen it except the once.

Really pleased with his calmness on the ball Not sure if he always has to play it short or if that was a tactical thing.

At the very least its nice having a genuine option/alternative to pope will hopefully keep pushing the both of them to perform

Absolutely not, it's an outrageous finish. No keeper in the world is saving it

That was my initial thought just wasn't sure. As it had no consequence to the final result I was secretly pleased for Bradford and the travelling support.

So it's nice to have a keeper who's decent with the ball at his feet...

...but one thing I've noticed about him since his Arsenal days is that I'm not always convinced he knows where the goal is. He seems to lose his posts at times

Agree on all of this. He does seem to lose his bearings a bit and it was a criticism at Arsenal. Like when he got distracted looking at that pigeon

I also don’t think he looks that good on the ball and still has a bit of an awkward touch and style. But in comparison to Pope, he looks like Pirlo in his prime
