AyeDubbleYoo
I’ve been disappointed in him TBH. Not sure how much is to do with his limited minutes though.
Aiston
He is relatively tidy on the ball but that is all. Offers nothing productive going forward or defensively.

Ramsey has been okay, Thiaw good (although I’m not convinced), the rest of the signings have been a disaster. I’d ageee on Ramsey. Genuinely dunno what more Thiaw could do to convince people, though. He put out multiple fires again yesterday, won everything he went for in the air (and found a teammate with the clearing header, as he usually does, unlike Botman and his 50p head/mistimed jumps), and was tidy in possession. If he was given more license to carry the ball through the lines, as he did on one occasion first half, it would add so much more to our play, as Schär used to do at his peak. Aye, he’s made a few mistakes, as every defender does, but he’s pretty much been playing in a cosplay Eddie Howe side for a season, rather than the proper version that existed for years before it, bar a few hiccups in form here and there. Deuce
I like Ramsey, think he’s a great player to have in rotation.

He just isn't worth it as his output isn't enough. I think he's tidy and clearly a good player but his profile isn't one I'd attach a premium too. Ronson333
He’s press resistant, with those little turns he does. Give him a run of games and he’ll have the confidence to shine.

For the money we needed an authoritative player. Ramsey is like Jermaine Jenas. Talented but a nothing player at the same time.

But I do feel for him, because he's not a central midfielder in a 433 and hasn't been throughout his career. he's yet another player I look at and wonder what is the plan here? Keggy_Keagal
He has huge lapses of concentration and several times this season he's let people run off him. There's something there to work with however.

To me he’s just filler. He’s never going to be a cornerstone player for a top 8 club. Good rotation player in a few positions. Will give you 6/7 out of 10 with the odd 8. Emery and Howe have him just right. It’s just not worth the money we’ve paid.

Not sure, iirc his best run was inverting from the flanks @brummie will know better than me though. I think it's where we have a disconnect as a club though. Spending so much in fees and wages for someone to make up the numbers and then complaining about PSR is short sighted.

Can’t be bothered about the price tag at this point (and I don’t think it’s all that egregious for a PL-proven CM in this day and age, albeit another cause for looking abroad instead of domestically). He’s here now and a solid if underwhelming PL player. Edited April 19 by Deuce

Aye, i am probably being harsh, just find it difficult to fully be convinced by him given our defensive record this season.
Loki679
He reminds me of Anita. Tidy player, does very little wrong but never shines through. It's always just 'Oh, was he playing?'.

There have been flashes of a good player in there, he looked to be finding his feet in the matches before his sending off but that seemed to set him back. Hard to judge at the moment in a team completely lacking in confidence and form.
AyeDubbleYoo
He’s a good addition still, might even end up as a starter next season. Would be willing to give him a run in a non-shit team and see how he does.

sixx
Scandalous we paid that kind of money for a player mainly to make up the numbers. For this kind of output you pay 15m. That’s Longstaff territory. There’s definitely something there. But he’ll soon be 25 years old and has played more than 150 PL games. The time for him to discover what kind of player he is or what he consistently offers to a PL club is fast disappearing.

I get the Anita comparison in terms of it looks like we hardly have him in midfield when he plays, there is always a big gap when being attacked and when we do attack ourselves he's nowhere to be seen also.
