cubaricho Posted January 13 Share Posted January 13 I think the disconnect is what people thought he was going to bring to the team and what Howe knew he'd bring to the team. He was always just going to be a less bullish version of Big Joe but much more tidy and better user of the ball. And he'll eventually pop up with a similar amount of goals to Joe I'd imagine. Thought his energy levels and pressing were good in the first 45, passing was tidy, without really offering a lot of threat again. He's growing on me but still has a long way to go IMO. But it was still good to see him coming short for it and demanding the pass. It was the best he’s been defensively, for sure. Promising that he’s had two positive games on the spin. Hopefully he can kick on from here. As the usual midfield 3 will need rotation and Miley is needed at right back. Based on the last two games.
