Another game of nothing for me, he just does the same things Willock used to do for us, and Joe at least had a goal threat in him. it looked clear today we needed something with the ability to unlock teams with a pass or a run rather than another runner.

Best game so far I thought even without that final part. But was tidy in possession and was bravely receiving the ball in certain situations and doing well.

Just want to see that something extra from him going forward as I thought we were getting an attacking midfielder who would give us creativity and goals.

But we haven't seen anything in that regard yet, just nice close control.

I know he was, I was there

Your post implied that you thought his performance was disappointing. I thought he was very good today. I think his substitution was tactical today.

I posted a sarcastic gif of a dog looking surprised to emphasise that I disagreed with the poster I was replying to who said they thought Ramsey had a “nothing” game

Keep up at the back Rod

He’s actually got a decent shot on him, so say Villa fans.

In that case then why the fuck does he not shoot when he's in and around the box about 10 times per game 😀. Did well today, best game since he signed.

Really good example today for those who’ve laughably been claiming Ramsey is just the same as Willock. They’ll ignore it, of course, because they know fuck all. Ramsey’s an intelligent player. Willock’s a fool.

Thought he did well today. Tidy on the ball, quick on the half turn and to turn defence into atttack.

Was nice to see him dictate the game a little more today.

I mentioned to my mate today that maybe at times, he and tonali maybe struggle with how influential Bruno is in regards dictating our pattterns of play. (not knocking Bruno - love the guy).

I thought that was his best performance for us. Looked more assured, drove well with the ball, played it simple when it was right to do so. Has nice close control and dribbling. Hes not far away from an 8/10 performance on that evidence. Just needs to effect the game in the final 1/3.

Maybe he's told not to by that bloke who picks the team

I don’t think he looked lacking in confidence. He was happy to receive the ball under pressure and was demanding it a lot of the time. Even in tricky situations deep in our half.

On the attacking stuff. He played some nice passes and made some quality runs early. Kroupi should have been booked for hacking him down.

The stuff around the edge of their box maybe he could take more risks, look to get a shot off or try and find that through ball. But it could be his own decision making process once he has surveyed the situation. Is that he’d rather retain possession and sustain attacks. It could also be an instruction from Howe.

We only really have Bruno who regularly looks to thread the needle or who does it with any kind of success.

I thought he was very good in possession. Our best player first half and one of the better performers overall before he went off.
