That's usually the chain of events that leads me to start researching tibetan nose flute music

my theory is the feeding frenzy over the same handful of names is due to the fact that the pool of striker talent domestically and abroad is very thin; seems like everyone is a bloody wide forward who can't shoot for shit anymore.

Was plenty who said he was not the main man in their midfield. If he keeps up the level hes playing at, there will be no struggle to recover.

I’m not sure I agree but obviously very debatable. He works very well for us and I’m not sure how well it translates, but fuck do I know.

In our position, in need of a PL-ready goal scorer, we aren’t spoiled for choice. Just how it is. We can relitigate the Isak shit, relitigate how shit our summer has been regarding a lack of leadership, all of that is fine and does affect things - but we are here, and we need goals. This guy will provide them. So I’m fine with it.

Hes been one of the best midfielders in the league the past year. We paid what 55m? We are bidding the same for Norways third choice striker.

I think that says more about us than tonali’s valuation

Don't think they've been wrong tbh

They were really scathing of his ability and hes doubled in value since here.

Id also say there are occasions where you could read this board and assume a player who's left is shite but actually it was frustration.

I do agree in general though.

It also says a lot about todays market. 55m is not that much.

Yes and no. Our revenues haven’t expanded enough for it to be irrelevant. We can certainly extract better value and a 175m or so on this guy, Elanga, Thiaw and Ramsey makes me a bit nervous

Its not irrelevant, but 50m isnt getting you a superstar, far from it. And put it it this way, if City wanted Tonali I dont think we would have no trouble getting 55 for him.

There's a Norwegian Wolves podcast 😮

Surprised anyone is surprised about that. I wouldn't be surprised if English football is more popular in Norway than in England as a percentage of total population.

If this lad had been playing first half last night we win the game it’s as simple as that. He’ll thrive with Gordon and Elanga either side of him.

It isn’t just crosses in the air either, his movement is so good that when Elanga and Gordon do get played in behind that he will find space in the box to put chances away.

Two summers later when the usual suspects have yet again inflated the fuck out of the market

Just some stats from last season but....

Larsen doesn't shoot much, but most of em hit the target and over one in four is a goal.

As a concern, shot volume is low, but not low enough to make the above data untrustworthy.

His all-round game sounds limited, but we've been there before with Callum Wilson.

Given the situation we're in, I'm all for the Forest approach, which is buy more than we need and trade away the ones that don't work out to meet PSR.

Our PSR problems were just as much from not selling as they were from buying too much.

If the worst comes to the worst, sell a chunk of the women's team. A double precedent has been set for doing so to create income.

Wonder how much Ipswich want for Sammie Szmodics?

Probably 40 million in the current market.
