I am sure he will only get better and bulid on his start with us but..

1) for someone who is more of a 10 than a 9 he's yet to have a single assist with us, quite often he can turn and put of the wingers through but he takes too much time.

2) for a giant of a striker he dosn't try much to win aerial duals, i noticed we stopped trying to kick it long to him.

Hopefully these are things Eddie and the team will be able to work with him on going forward.

Not sure I agree with any of this to be honest.

I don’t think he’s more of a 10 than a 9. He just plays that role more like Kane than Isak for example.

His link up play has been good and put one on a plate for Barnes a couple of games ago so the assists will come.

Hes only going to get better under Howe

No wonder his teammates aren't even able to pass to him in the final third or the box.

I'm very disappointed with the midfield.

yeah I agree but i'd also like to see him take on his man and get a shot off, there's been almost none of that so far

Great player but think he's struggling physically with so many minutes.

We've got one striker and the Premier League is far more physical than other European leagues

He looks shagged.

We need two of him really.

Also becoming apparent that all refs think being tall means the threshold for being fouled is higher.

Even though I can’t stand the cunt this used to happen to Niall Quinn all the time.

Hope we get to see him start alongside Wissa when he's back and fit. He does some great stuff when he drops deep, but then he won't make it into the box when our wingers are attacking, and they usually can't do it on their own either (except Barnes sometimes). I didn't really believe the talk about him being a 10 (false 9?), but he really does play like one, and I think we would benefit from playing a more direct striker infront of him considering our style of play.

He's a unicorn of a footballer irrespective of whether he's a number 9 or more of a number 10 and it's going to be Eddie's biggest challenge (apart from teaching Pope to kick the ball) to make it work both for Woltemade and the team. The fact I don't think we've seen him have a shot never mind a decent one illustrates how so far we haven't worked out how to get him in space and a threat with his feet in a dangerous position. I think he will need to play with Wissa to get the most of him but playing with two forwards will probably give us huge problems in other parts of the pitch.

He looks knackered.

Spent alot of times chasing lost causes and became a frustrated fugure towards the end. Which won't help conserve his energy levels.

We are putting too much on him but a bit like BDB playing every minute its out of lack of viable options wissa cant come back soon enough.

Unconvinced so far. Really like the fella and want him to do well but I think some of his performances have been overrated and some of the issues with his skill set overlooked. Hope I’m wrong but I’ve found his overall output underwhelming on the whole albeit with some sprinkling of really good play. I find him almost uniquely difficult to weigh up but the lack of seeing him shoot properly after so many minutes is odd - whether he is a 9 or a 10 or a combination he is an attacker and most get on the ball enough to get some shots away. The team isn’t playing great which isn’t helping. I’d like to see him have a stormer before we go into yet another international break to settle my concerns. Could be that he’s knackered. Could be that he isn’t as good as we thought or that his style doesn’t suit the rest of the team as much as a flyer like Wissa.

We just need some more training time with him, really.

I feel he's doing what's most natural to get into games now which is dropping into deeper pockets to get involved & generally help the team. What I don't think has been worked on much yet is the patterns and coordinated movements to get him into better shooting positions. He scored a variety of finishes in the box for Stuttgart.

I struggle to see how he can be really effective for us with our style of play tbh. I’m usually completely wrong though and probably will be again. I just can’t see us being a high scoring side with him as our main striker.

Looks a bit tired I think. Wissa can't come soon enough to take some of the burden off him. Frustrating that Osula has a problem as well so he'll have to play pretty much every minute unless we're super comfortable at the end like tonight.
