Think we have enough to beat them but the players are likely going to be fucked from last night. Surely we’ll see a lot of changes I pray Eddie has learned from the last CL campaign. We have to rotate. I still don't think we'll win though, sorry
TBG
They've had a terrible start to the season haven't they? We really should be looking to bring back all 3 points, minimum.

Plus we often seem to really struggle against them. I’d be delighted with a draw.
Magpie Mover
Bournemouth are the kind of team and Iraola the kind of manager that regularly put NUFC and Eddie in their place. Hopefully not this time.

The Prophet
Meh it's not just that we've previously struggled against Bournemouth stylistically. It's the longest away trip of the season, against arguably the best pressing team in the league. We played Thursday night and probably have one or two training sessions between the two games. We're solid defensively so I don't think there will be loads in it, but it just feels like a terrible time for this fixture: 2-1.
Whitley mag
Thiaw, Botman, Hall and Tino will help us break the press here. If Trippier does start wouldn’t be opposed to trying Hall down the left in this, or Joelinton. Edited September 20, 2025 by Whitley mag

People say we struggle against low block, we do, but we have really struggled against high pressing teams. Im not talking about suicide high lines like Villa and Spurs, but teams with a real plan with their high press. We are lacking technical ability to play us out of it. We do have quite a few press proof players when we're on it. With Wolt on the field though, it might be best to be more direct and go over their press. Granted they have better players, but City do this to good effect with Haaland.

Whitley mag
Massive game this would be 7 points behind them with defeat and would become a poor start to the season for me. Would take a draw now but we really need to build some momentum.

Very important pointer as to where we need to improve. Players who can't deal with getting pressed need to be upgraded. Easier said than done, but it's the next part of our evolution. Not having Ramsey is a huge miss at the moment, with Willock generally being absolutely useless as a bench option. Hope Big Nick can grab a goal, but otherwise 2-1 or 3-1 to them.
