mackems vs. Newcastle United: 14/12/25 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

I've massively fucked up and I'm on a flight during the match. Normally in such a case I'd just check the score, but I'm tempted to do a Likely Lads for the derby - but I'm in Chile and got no way to tape. Any techy people up for doing me a big favour and recording the full 90, sending me the file to watch a few hours later...?

Please let us be clinical and it’s 2+ up by HT.

We are the better team on paper, and we need to be showing that and not get dragged into a battle. If we let it be a physical game, we’ll get bullied IMO.

Xhaka v Bruno and Wolte v Ballard key battles for me. Both for different reasons.

Would you expect us to see it out? :badyao:

Dreading this tbh.

They've not lost at home all season and from what I've seen have bags of energy. We'll be knackered after tonight and I don't think you can rotate in the likes of Elanga and Ramsay for the derby. Worry about our midfield.

Would snatch a draw if offered now.

Same. No bravado from me. They are as good at home as we are bad away. Pains me to say it but they are organised and look a decent side. Would take a draw.

Think we will go 3–4-3 for this. Thaiw / Schar / Burn CBs.

Tonali / Bruno CMs. Then a question of will it be Hall / Tino full backs with Gordon / Murphy wingers, or Hall on bench, Tino LWB / Murphy RWB and Elanga starting RW.

Please no..
