Great 3 points and to be fair nobody has blown Burnley away at their place this season.

The 2 young lads Miley and Hall take the plaudits again absolutely outstanding.

Suspect this result is just papering over the cracks though and doubt we have the PSR headroom in January to fix some glaring issues.

Where absolutely bereft of quality in wide areas and that’s going to involve some big decisions in the summer to fix. Midfield is a huge issue and we are crying out for someone like Odegaard who can play through the lines.

If we are honest then we didn't blow Burnley away either. It was a competition to the bottom of shit finishing. But we came out on top and I'll take it on the night.

Naaa think the dressing room photo doesn’t really work at the minute.

We used four subs today and that picture should have been of fifteen sheepish grins glancing back over an equal pair of very sore bottoms.

Just relieved to win. Of course we could have done lots of things better but at least we made quite a few chances. Aside from the goals we had the Wissa header from about 3 yards out that he somehow missed, the Barnes one on one, Thiaw off the line, the Murphy open goal (would have been offside on VAR but whatever). It's easy sometimes to sit and say if they'd taken their chances we would have lost but let's not make out like we didn't have a kick and we smash and grabbed a win.

Some of it was really uncomfortable viewing, but there were a few patches when we remembered how to take the heat out of the game. The way we were forcing passes and losing possession was nuts given that we were in the lead the whole time.

I think part of the character of this team is that they really don't like the idea of sitting back and protecting a lead. A lot of the difficulty in the second half today was from the full backs being too far forward and exposing the centerbacks on the counter, while Tonali keeps trying ill-advised forward passes and giving the ball away.

Sure everyone is already well aware of this, but the table this season is insane. 5 points between 5th and 14th at pretty much the halfway point. 3 points between 7th and 14th! Everyone is simultaneously Champions league and lower table chumps, crazy season. I think Burnley have been decent (they obviously aren’t great, but they also aren’t Wolves, they’ve been competitive) so I’m pleased with the result today. Definitely a bit dicey, but will always take an away win.
