nufc123
Will always have faith in us at home. They have some big players out. If Bruno is out its a huge blow for us, but we should still be confident.

Big bonus him being out, he's a pest.
Sibierski
This is the sort of game I’m very confident in. Have no doubts we will be on it from word go, it just comes down to will we be clinical and have no errors at the back, like last night. Villa have injuries, play Thursday, so there’s a good argument a full throttle approach can take the game away from Villa in the first half. Team I have no idea. You need to freshening things up, but then the side executed the plan so well last night, if they all got the energy in their legs, I’d go same. Just Miley in for Bruno, because I’ve done the ankle many a times like he did, and you really need a good rest. Can be bandaged up, but rather we took a long term approach because he will be needed against PSG to play those counter attacking passes. I’d then play Wolte / Elanga / Ramsey all against PSG. joeyt
Suspect the only change will be Miley in for Bruno If Bruno is fit, I suspect we'll be unchanged even though I think I'd prefer to see Miley at right back to Trippier
SteV
Looks like they’ve gone pretty much full strength in Turkey. Onana back on the bench.

TRon
2 hours ago, Lush Vlad said: Sounds like Onana will be back. But Kamara and McGinn are big players for them so I'm glad they'll be missing. Especially McGinn as he is infuriating to watch when your team is playing against him They like to play out from the back and are hardly going to sit in and defend. So the game setup should suit us again. We've often been good against them at SJP since Emery has been there, not bad away a couple of times, too despite the odd hammering. I'd like to see Miley back in at right back. Ramsey in the middle assuming Bruno is out. If Wissa is good to go again, then he should start. It's difficult for Howe with him coming back from injury and both Wissa and Woltemade costing so much. But I'm not sure rotating them too often is going to help either find form. I think Villa will score. But I reckon we can nick it 2-1. Think I would prefer to see Tripps at RB and Miley replacing Bruno personally. I think Miley is the natural replacement for Bruno in the middle, he's more than capable of doing the job. I think Trippier is still good enough at RB as well, what he lacks in pace these days he more than makes up for in positioning and just general football intelligence. Likelylad
Has Trippier got 2 games in 4 days in him at 35? Doubtful. Think we’ll see Ramsey CM and Miley RB.

Elma
Villa looking decent at Fener. Playing some nice, quick, forward passes between lines. I always worry when playing them as Emery is an elite coach. Two weakened midfields will be interesting. Am hoping the extra rest time will be critical.

We were saying a season or two ago Trippier struggles with too many games close together. This would be the 3 starts across the week, after just returning from injury. He is also suspect defensively and I think they’d target him. I don’t think he’s been good at all since returning, personally. He was decent last night. But they didn’t really attack with much intent. So hard to judge that one. Everyone did well last night, in fairness. I love Miley. But nobody is the natural replacement for Bruno. We don’t have one and not many teams would. He is still mostly safe and secure with his passing. But admittedly he is better on the ball than Tonali if he were to play the deeper role. Ellis H
They've only beaten us at SJP twice in the Premier League. Last time was in 2005 in one of the most self destructive games I've ever seen. Played 28, won 18, drawn 8 and lost 2.

It’s when they do the box midfield, that gives me the jitters because it bypasses our midfield easily. They’re always open end to end games against Villa because of that, and their high line meaning we can exploit it. Often a battle of two contrasting styles where it’s down to who takes their chances in first 60 wins. The game earlier this season was first one in a while I remember being the complete opposite, which was probably it being first game of season.
