Harvey Barnes has six and six assists versus Villa, but five of the goals were for Leicester.

I think Brummie might have said it, but they see him as a bogey player for them.

He's been a bogey player for a lot of teams this season

I don’t foresee Villa coming out and attacking us rather making life difficult and hitting Watkins on the counter.

im convinced after watching us return to our style against PSV - a team prepared to not just sit in - that the answer to our low block issue is getting Wolt to stay up front and actually playing to his feet and getting bodies round him. I get that its hardly a Pep based unpacking of our current tactical issues but I just don’t see our usual pressing style suddenly working again against teams not prepared to open up.

Short version is play Wolt over Wissa. Actually pass it to him and get Barnes near him. 3-0 win.

Got to be Wissa, surely? Notwithstanding rotation needs, if these strikers are going to improve then they need to know that good performances = you're in the team, bad performances = you're out. They can push each other that way.

I'd usually agree, but i think we'll prefer to go with wissa vs psg, and for that reason, it'll be Wolte

They’re a better footballing side than us but the overall level of quality of the players is very close. Reckon Eddie will have the team snarling and ready to kick them all over, force fuck ups and nick some goals.

They remind me a bit of De Zerbi’s Brighton/Marseille.

Set traps to commit two players towards the ball and aim to use spare man to advance. That and Watkins long out ball which he likes to pin the defender wide and draw players in before finding the spare man.

If Villa are still fancying the high line it's got to be Wissa

Wissa has to start after his performance on Wed - need to keep the momentum going.

Choose the forward line that’s most prepared to run full tilt and close them down as often as possible. Force a mistake from them.
We’re more dangerous when teams try and play out from the back. We’re a danger to ourselves when we do it.

Low possession stats are fine, we need to turn it over in between their box and the centre circle.

Martinez was injured last night, hopefully missing Sunday.

Bizot has looked decent when he’s played and Martinez hasn’t looked arsed or up to his usual standards a lot of the times I’ve seen him.

They would miss his playmaking ability, mind. He’s hurt us plenty of times with that low pass into midfield/Watkins.

I feel like the PL is conspiring to help us at the moment. Massive incentive to win tomorrow and go 4th.

Don't let the mackems see this post.
