I think you're right, I was thinking it was the Metalist Kharkiv game that was moved to a different venue but I'm probably remembering it wrong.

I do recall one of them was an artificial pitch and Ben Arfa had just come back from an injury and I was fearful he'd go down.

Think that was the one in Russia

 

We've played Dynamo Kyiv in Kyiv too and Partizan in Belgrade but don't think we've gone this far east

Yeah, the city where they play was unsafe, even do their domestic home games the players would live and train in Moscow, then fly in.

Metalist was played at their home stadium. 
 

I am sure we played someone radge back in the Souness days.
