Seeing it again on the match-cam footage the club puts out makes it look even worse. The way he doesn't react until being surrounded by man u players (which is supposed to be a booking for one of their players if not the captain). Feel like he is an important player now in terms of being comfortable taking the ball under pressure. Willock is not going to suit this game from a build up and defensive perspective. He might give us something crashing into the box on counters but in general play we are going to suffer from losing Ramsey, especially as in recent games he has started to emerge as one of our better players on current form. Not to mention not having a single alternative midfielder on the bench incase of injuries or fatigue outside of Woltemade aswell. Hope that shite ref hasn't cost us for this game. It didn’t prevent us beating Manure without him and only 10 men v their 12 HTL

We can still beat these. We ran them close at theirs. Home crowd very key. Under the lights suits too. Into them!

Yeah I'm confident we can give it a good go. Just thinking in terms of small margins, I just hope missing Ramsey isn't the difference between winning and losing. I guess we will never know for sure but it's still a loss having gone less midfielder available and we shouldn't be a player down if it wasn't for that fucking bullshit decision. Shocking decision, instigated by the manure players! Hope to carry the momentum and belief from Wednesday night.
alexf
Also hope the additional fatigue on some of our lads, Tonali, Hall and Trippier (cramping) and Gordon (Ankle?) doesn't hamper us too much either. Remember being gutted we had to play the league cup semi so soon after that 120+ mins in the Bournemouth game a few days before. Feels like this could be similar situation. Fuck City and their massive squad and lucky breaks where they haven't had to face us at our best. When we didn't have those issues we beat them this season so we know we can do it when we're healthy. Holloway
Be surprised if fatigue plays a part in this one. we'll be pumped to fuck. I'm more worried about missing good first half chances

MagPar
I've just discovered that I have a viewing dilemma. The 2 teams that make up my moniker are bth playing important cup games at roughly the same time (Dunfermline kick off against Aberdeen half an hour earlier than Newcastle). So I guess I'll be channel hopping for the first hour, then I'll turn over to golf or tennis when both my teams are inevitably 3 nil down by half time*. *Please bare in mind that I'm a pessimist. Yorkie
Annoyed about this draw all over again. I do think it'll be beyond us after the effort from the other night. As if the schedule isn't hard enough without a cunt ref asking us to go a half with fewer players. Maddening. You never know but City just seem to have our number at the minute. Hopefully people aren't wankers if we do get beat. If we win then I'll look forward to our tie against the winners of Arsenal/Mansfield.

We are gonna have to beat them all anyway if we want to win the whole thing. I also don't think fatigue/tiredness is gonna matter much if anything tbh. It's a massive game at home against one of the favorites, the crowd behind the team and so on. Tiredness is also very much a mental thing (to a big degree). Players can do more than they imagine sometimes when there's a massive game. Different in less important games though. Why even think about wankers being wankers, nevermind beforehand I think we will win this one 3-1. Piss off City!

Worst part is that literally every other 'big team' got a piece of piss draw so even if we do win this we're near enough guaranteed another tough tie. Probably away. Not because I think we're shit, just because I think it's a big ask to go again so soon after the Man Utd game the other night (after so many other 'so soon afters' this year). Expecting us not to be fatigued is crazy talk imo. It's a small squad and so many of the players have been playing relentlessly. I've predicted defeat quite a few times this season because I've come to terms with the fact it's just gonna be up and down from here on out. I'm not inherently pessimistic by any stretch. Ashley17
Given the paucity of midfield options I wonder if we'll do the 3 at the back thing and have Botman pressing 60 yards from his own goal again. Would allow him at least to play Murphy as a wingback if he doesn't want to run Trippier into the ground but it seems like regardless of the minutes accumulated, Trippier and Burn will play along with 9 others.
