We're going to win this one and then be right up for Tuesday.

Into them.

We are soo due a win here against this lot. Hope the crowd and players are up for it. Then hope for a miracle and unbiased fair refereeing.

I love that hoping for a miracle is fine, but hoping for unbiased, fair refereeing is somehow less likely than said miracle

We’ve never lost when the ref tonight has reffed one of our games

Well yeah - I'm predicting a defeat.

Not because I think we're shit, just because I think it's a big ask to go again so soon after the Man Utd game the other night (after so many other 'so soon afters' this year).

Expecting us not to be fatigued is crazy talk imo. It's a small squad and so many of the players have been playing relentlessly.

I've predicted defeat quite a few times this season because I've come to terms with the fact it's just gonna be up and down from here on out. I'm not inherently pessimistic by any stretch.

Not defeatist just a Mackem.

Head says this will be to much too soon but as always...heart says we'll do this! We've got results from places we haven't expected recently. Let's make this another!

Given the paucity of midfield options I wonder if we'll do the 3 at the back thing and have Botman pressing 60 yards from his own goal again. Would allow him at least to play Murphy as a wingback if he doesn't want to run Trippier into the ground but it seems like regardless of the minutes accumulated, Trippier and Burn will play along with 9 others.

Stick with our main formation and have a go. And hope that our back four don't give them easy goals.

We seem to have a good home record against the big clubs at home in the cups under Howe. Mainly Carabao Cup like, but you'd imagine this will be 4th on City's list behind the CL, league and a cup final?

Yeah dunno if its cus it's after the win on Wednesday, or the fact it's 8pm Saturday under the lights and you'd imagine the crowd will be up for it, but I just have this sneaky feeling where winning tonight (que a repeat of the league cup semi) lol.... on me own way the wee man today, so might make him miss his nap and take him to the park so he tires himself out so he's in bed early so I settle down way a few cans tonight and enjoy this lol

I'm hoping that big willy wondergoal has transformed him into the world's best striker and he continues with a matchball winning performance this evening.

Maybe not though.

For city, their game against Madrid is bigger whereas for us, this game is probably bigger.

They won’t want a hard game tonight, I’d say this is bottom of their priorities right now.
