Tiotes Witch Doctor
Trying to post when we've won not just to complain when we've lost. Cracking win that, a perfect away performance, rock solid at the back and dangerous going forward. Our away form has completely turned around lately, certainly welcome when the next away game is the biggest of our season. Thought Ramsdale was good mainly because I think it's been so long since we've seen either of our keepers do bread and butter stuff well, his distribution was excellent. Also thought Thiaw, Ramsey, Willock and Gordon were very good throughout. Did not expect us to go there and win with that team, it's even sweeter when it's totally unexpected. TheInfiniteOdyssey
Such a solid away performance last night. I didn’t really feel like we were hanging on, managed the game well and we had the outlets to keep the ball ticking over. Gordon’s off-the-ball work was sublime. He has everything, which makes it even more frustrating that he seem to only show it on the (big) occasion.

The result hugely dictates the perception of the performance I think, but imo we've deserved for more of those performances like that to result in wins. We've had so many matches this season where every chance or half chance the opposition has had has flown in (backed up by having the best XGa after Arsenal's) so it was nice to have a result where the outcome felt like it matched the performance. How much is that do with Pope having a stinker of a season? Don’t get me wrong, not 100% Ramsdale in the answer but he’s definitely an improvement. Not sure tbh, he's definitely had a few moments that have cost us but there have been plenty that weren't his or Ramsdale's fault as well, or in some cases no one's fault. By hook or crook it's just felt inevitable in every game this season. Edited March 15 by Kid Icarus

Cf
Ref should have just booked each Chelsea player for surrounding the referee. Would have been a fun start to the game.

The worst part about this is it's literally just a marketing slogan for an old Pro Evo I remember Konami using that exact term for one of the games to explain how each team would feel different in their style like real life. The fact he thinks he's come up with some sort of enlightened term to describe this means he's so ridiculous far up his own arse I'm surprised if he can actually see anything anymore. pinkeye
Did he really say that the team and the leadership group wanted to "Respect the ball" which was the reason they wanted to do their huddle around the centre spot? Or did I just completely imagine it..? No-one is that insane are they???

That was criminal. 17 hours ago, Elbel1 said: Can 100% see Linkedin Liam appearing on The High Performance podcast and say they named it wrong. It should be The Highest Performance. Such a weird coincidence that the players decided to do something that is the most Rosenior thing ever I think he must have said respect and disrespect around 20 times in his interview while referring to various things. That is why I was unsure if he actually said to respect the ball.... If I had said all that, and been recorded saying it, I would cringe myself into being a recluse if I listened back to it.... The tone of his response reminded me of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in his interview with Emily Maitlis, where the stuff he’s coming out is patently ridiculous, but because he’s under the impression he’s so intellectually superior, he’s almost oblivious to it, and just thinks he’ll be able to make you think he’s right. (obviously, I’m not comparing the two subject matters).
