We are truly in the muck of the transfer window now. Journos falling over themselves to tweet slightly different versions of the same story. Great

Like transfer pigs in shite. Fucking love it.

Has more technique than speed based on my quick highlights viewing. If anything I'd be concerned about whether his speed translates to the PL, but seems to accelerate well with the ball.

I was wondering about that, think I mentioned it early in this thread, looks more like really quick over the first few yards, not sure about over a longer stretch.

I read something a week ago that said when he was at Real Madrid he was considered the fastest player at the club.

Feels very bold of us to be trying to sign a player who's about to be playing at the world cup in a few days. Love to see it.

Taking advantage of release clauses does help mind although not sure how common knowledge the fee was so still fair do's to the club if they pull it off.

So today I learned that transfer deals are mainly negotiated via WhatsApp! these days.

Fucking hellfire. Zuckerberg is providing the communications medium for football transfers AND pouring poison into the well of humanity via his toxic social media platforms.

Kill iz.

I liked Gordon more than most but I don't think we lost a huge amount in terms of Gordon the left-winger. The real loss is in Gordon the versatile forward who can do a reliable job up front (with an unreal penalty record).

All this to say: I don't think Munoz needs to be amazing to be an effective replacement. He could even be an upgrade quite quickly.

"impressed by the project" is an interesting line when plenty of people on here told us that the project was over.

Thank fuck you rarely see those people when positive news/rumours break.

Gordon is more or less a proven player now, regardless of what people think of him.  Might not be the silkiest winger with all the tricks, but he runs at defenders and gets goals one way or the other. We could have held out for more tbh, but hopefully getting the deal done quickly will pay off if Munoz can translate his skills to the EPL.
