ALL CAPS IS s***. DON'T DO IT.

To be fair to kingxlnc, he did use a lower case "i" although it should have been upper case.  :D

But was it on accident or a part of some larger game of psychological warfare?

TORRES IS NOT AS LAUGHABLE AS PEOPLE MAY THINK...

Yes what a step up we'd be for one of the most talented youngsters in world football.

Someone's just reminded me of Antonio Cassano who seems to have totally dissapeared, seems like a typical Big Sam signing and there's no way he'll stay at Madrid. His talent is unquestionable but maybe one Joey Barton is enough in terms of attitude.

Did actually think about him recently. Supposed to be a bit of a penis but very talented.

Newcastle are similar to Atletico in that they are a big club who have underachieved - he has got legendary status there - he may want the same challenge - if he does well, he certainly would be idolised by the Toon faithful. That said - it probably is doubtful, we can all but dream I guess...

Aye that's what i mean, I'm sure if he leaves Athletico he'll want to further his career and win things, not move sideways. He won't be short of offers either.

If he want's legendary status then he can stay at the club he supports like Shearer did here, he has no connection with us.

I'd take anyone that Sam feels he's done his homework on, tbh.

Can't expect "big names" to arrive until (if!) we're playing champions league football so for me if Sam feels he's getting a grafter with the ability to cut it in the Prem, he has my backing.

We know where the weaknesses are, and Sam should know if the players he's after are better than what we have.

Would anyone take Richard Dunne to partner Taylor?

Scary amount of cards may get clocked up between them though.

no pace whatsoever

total bollocks tbh, he's pretty quick actually

Aye, i like Dunne. Experianced and rarely makes hideous mistakes, would be hard to prise from Man City though.

I wonder if our bid is still on the table for him from 2yrs ago...was it 23m?

"Nantes midfielder Christian Wilhelmsson could be a major possibility for Toulouse as the relegated club are willing to let him go.

The Swedish international, who spent part of last season on loan at Roma, would likely cost around €3million (£2million). "

SSN's article.

I've seen him a couple of times for Sweden (once against England i think) super sub, can play just about in any attacking position, fast and gets (creates) goals.

£2m could be a very good squad player, and also tie us over until Duff gets back to fitness on the left.

Should just about cover him, push for 6?  :undecided:

And a release clause of 3.5 million

I would sign wes brown, have another go at wayne bridge offering owen at the same time and with the change would pitch in a bid for Anelka who has been in great form every time I' saw bolton play last season.

Would also buy a right back but not sure who??
