The atmosphere when it was like that today (i havent seen it, but I know exactly what it was like) should be always. Whats wrong with booing like that if it gets it going. Doesnt everyone always love when the mackems come to town and we intimidate the shit out of them?

Il have that over what the next 2 home games are gunna be like every time

One of the few Liverpool players I would have at Newcastle as he would be a good 3rd choice to Krul if Harper leaves in the summer.

Bit gutted we didn't put one past him or at least attempt a shot from over the half way line :(

Yup, that was my only regret - it was all set up for Ben Arfa to rifle on in from 40 yards, but hearing the "Ole" chants almost made up for it...

Oh Jose, Jose, you twat.

Those chants from the fans were spot on and the right way to express our general feelings. Hope he actually regrets making those comments (unlikely though). Was fantastic seeing him fall flat on his arse after being skinned by Ben Arfa :smug:

needs a caption like, 'what da hell is shit?'...."da fuq is dat?'  under the 2nd.  at least it's funny in my head...  :cheesy:

Anyone else think that the response to Enrique might have been less vitriolic had he gone somewhere other than Liverpool?

I mean, he leaves saying that the NUFC lack ambition and won't compete with the top six... and than he goes to Liverpool. If he had gone to a top club, fine. But he didn't go to a top club, he went to Liverpool. They were a top club. But they aren't now and haven't been for a while.

Say that all of Liverpool's summer purchases had paid off and Liverpool came to St. James' in second or third place. Would the response to Jose have been as intense? I don't know.  He was my favorite player and I think I would've been much less aggrieved had to a Champions League side.

Also, in retrospect I'm pretty happy with the boos given to Carroll and Enrique today. I think they were rattled by it. Enrique especially, after he heard how the crowd cheered when Ben Arfa skinned him. That's what the home field advantage is all about. Fans deserve a lot credit for intimidating Liverpool.

I think there would have been less ill feeling if he hadn't strung the club along for so long and had gone back to Spain.

Don't know about his reception at SJP, but my ill feelings for him would certainly not have been as bad as they are had he left for a top club. He was good enough for us that I was expecting him to leave if a CL-club came in for him, but to fuck us about and saying what he said when he joins fucking Liverpool made him a mercenary cunt for me.

Ben Arfa taking the piss out of was just too fucking funny, I didn't see the game live, but even watching it later knowing the score, that made me cheer almost as much as when we scored. Anyone know which minute that was?

Apparently he stayed in Newcastle after the game and had a night out with a few of our players.

Probably a search party for anti carroll

AC's having a pretty heavy week, was in Heebie Jeebies in Liverpool last night.

wouldnt mind hearing a post match interview from him

He won't be giving one, IIRC he was cutting Newcastle fans off from fb and twitter when they gave him grief for leaving for Liverpool. Anyway the game on Sunday was a high profile one and there's every chance his arse getting handed to him by Ben Arfa will have been seen across Spain. With any luck that will end any hopes he had of getting a national call up any time soon /#bitter
