Fantastic performance by Enrique today. Injustice when Nielson was named MOM instead. Don't argue, Lovenkrands. Listen to Jose, he's right.

MOM's in the stadium always go to the home team man. It's decided by the home sponsors who've paid to have their company featured with said home player.

I'll be seriously shocked if Barcelona aren't eyeing him up in private as we speak. Would tick all their boxes - great going forward, exceptional defensively, mid 20's, Spanish, contract up at the end of next season. Links up really well with Jonas, the only (fit) player we have who can play with the ball on the deck, so who knows what he'd be like in a team with Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Villa, etc etc.

Still think he's nailed on to be sold in the summer when we can still get a good fee, rather than the club running the risk of losing him on a Bosman. Don't think he has any intention of signing a new contract, and I wouldn't blame him one bit if that was the case, as he'd basically be one year away from every top CL club clamouring for his signature (who wouldn't want Jose Enrique on a free transfer?). Probably get someone like Van Aanholt in as a replacement, which in all honesty wouldn't be the end of the world.

Fingers crossed that MOTD won't show any of it.

From the MOTD POV it was a fairly quiet game. Only a few chances of note unfortunately Enrique provided those with class long passes but we'll probably be on last.

Honestly man, he was so good today that you can't not show it, even if you tried.

We could have been winning 5-0 at half time with all goals coming from Enrique crosses. Took the piss defensively as well, as per usual.
