I have just seen a short interview with José Enrique on Canal 9 (valencian tv). The player has said that he is sad to leave Villarreal because he has had a great year with them but, on the other hand, he is very happy to sign for Newcastle United, a huge team with players like Michael Owen or Alberto Luque.

Also, Llaneza has said that the offer was good fot both sides.

The player is travelling to Newcastle to pass the medical next week.

Luque is a reason he's coming... .... ....  ;D

Luque seems happier now with Sam in charge. Maybe a happy squad will be a successful squad. (fingers crossed smiley thing)

A left back?

A high quality, young left back costing more than a packet of smarties?

Something just doesn't feel right around here...... :cheesy:

Well of our two past 21-year old left-backs we've signed from Euro countries, let's hope he's more Domi on the playing side than Pistone!

Haha wasn't Pistone touted as the next Maldini or something stupid?

He was indeedy. If he's as good as Domi, then we've got a good player.

After talks with chairman Chris Mort on Monday Allardyce hinted he could be about to make his biggest signing yet at St James’s Park. He said: “I’m still about three players away. Don’t forget I’ve always wanted four, so if Kieron goes out and Alan comes in, I haven’t got one extra. I’ve just got a replacement for one, so I still need four. I was good at maths at school.

Enrique?
