Yea, should have kept it tight and keep themselves in the tie. Now it is done and dusted. ManU are and were nothing special, but that was so easy. Just put it behind the line for Garnacho. They have been unimpressive for the UEL season, but that seems to be enough this season. Maybe why Bodo are up there in last four and Djurgården in UECL semis. ManU need UCL way more than Spurs do.
-
Actually really impressive to hold them to just a 2 goal deficit away with 3 players out. I thought it was over in the first half. Now they have a huge opportunity here, as I expect them to win at home.
-
Far too open, which was surprisingly for one of the best defensive sides in Europe. That header was a great chance and should have been buried mind. No idea what they were thinking with those fouls either. If Vivian wanted to take Hojlund out to prevent a goal, doing it by dragging him down was so silly. If it's a foul it's an automatic red. They did the exact same thing on Garnacho later in the game. It was another penalty and clear red, but they were lenient on them this time.
-
Yeah, he'd be getting £3m from us every few months.
-
No, it really hasn’t.
-
Tbh Bilbao could have scored a couple early on. They didn't and goals change game. ManU are experienced side in these kind of games. Bilbao were too open.
-
That formation would surely mean Trippier coming inside more to CM like Hall would do in the Arsenal game. Not sure I fancy Schar being left defending that channel too often. I think Willock gets another go on Sunday and he really needs to take his chance these last 3-4 games. I do think maybe we’ll go with 5 at the back again v Arsenal.
-
This 100 %. Seems like a player who doesn't create much from static situations or play with his head up a lot.
-
The final between them and Spurs going to be such desperation for both sides. Long term, just papers over the cracks because they’re both showing nothing form wise that worries me next season as league is the main thing. Also it reinforces why I have no sympathy for Man Utd fans when they moan about the Glazers, and it being tough for them. Going to be their 3rd Europa final in past decade.
-
This is a classic example of how some elements of our fan base are addicted to doom (far more than just Mike) Forest in shit form, blowing a chance to go above us by losing at home, yet some of the comments in here last night were pure negative energy It’ll be annoying, frustrating and downright unjust for either Man Utd or Spurs to get CL given the utter shite served up by both sides in the league, but it’s of far less consequence to NUFC than Forest losing again and them being on a shite run

His transfer fee wouldnt be the expensive part like.
-
Why? It was a great night for Newcastle.

Some takes on here last few weeks have been absolutely crackers. Madueke ahead of Mbeumo, someone saying they wouldn't take Rashford for £3m. Vardy as back up. Bloody Nora.
-
“I have no doubt that we beat Liverpool because of him. He was like, ‘We’re not dropping our lines; we’ll keep pressing high, man to man.’ Liverpool weren’t expecting that at all.”
-
Does he ever play through the middle? I don't think so. Could be wrong. That's the thing about Mbeumo; he offers cover for Isak.
-
It will be a nervy affair. The side that deals with the pressure the best will win. We all know that Spurs are a bunch of bottlejob merchants. Manure, as bad as they are, have always known how to win trophies.
-
Just let all 20 Premier League teams into Europe next season.
-
Tottenham have beaten them 3 times this season, so.....but knowing those jaggy fuckers.
-
Should probably make it so there's a limit of no more than 6-7 from a country in all competitions to try and stop this? So if next season for example there's 6 English teams in the Champions League, there's only 1 in the Europa League and 0 in the Conference League. Could be a bit of a shitter if you finish 12th and win the Carabao for example and not be able to qualify for Europe but I'm not sure how this doesn't keep happening pretty consistently.

It definitely feels like a huge flaw if there are 2 English winners for the lesser European cups. Expanding the CL really fucked everything.
-
The winner should get qualification to the Europa league to "defend their title" but they shouldn't get upgraded to Champions league. Belittles the whole thing I feel.
-
So is this some Trump level manipulating of the truth here? Not only are his past quotes nothing like you described, but you have also twisted what the other guy said when he clearly meant "if you can call him in trouble" not "if you could call him a coach".
-
Sadly just think it shows how much money is in the English game and how far the league is in general ahead of every other league. Spurs & Man U probably finish top 4 or 5 in every other league in Europe even with the managers and squads they have today.
