  1. Past hour
  2. Why? We definitely need a new RW, but behind Salah and Mbeumo we had arguably the best performing right winger in the country. Whilst we cant rely on Murphy having another season like that I also don't think we can expect Eddie to drop Murphy as soon as we get a new player in that position. A young player with a very high ceiling who wont expect to start every game but already has the experience and ability to be able to play in the PL sounds pretty perfect to me, particularly if we are looking at Pedro too.

    Alexander Isak

+ the money they are spending on Wirtz, which is nuts. Like 130m, isn't it?
  4. Odd, given he plays primarily from the right and they have that absolute alien for the next 15 years there.

    Alexander Isak

Obviously want him to stay, one of the best strikers in the world. A bigger debate, but i don't think any player in the world is actually worth £150m unless you're talking Messi/Ronaldo levels where its a certain known.
  6. Fernandes, Isak, Palmer, Rice, Mac Allister and Salah for PFA Player of the Year.
  7. Menace

    João Pedro

Aye. He broke Minteh weeks before anyone. Shame his patter was absolutely honking.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I haven't paid attention for years so I don't really know anything, but based on reading this board for the past few weeks I get the impression it's a case of when not if. I get why people are on edge based on past events. But like if history repeats itself, based on what I'm reading a whole bunch of people are gonna get fired So it probably will be fine.
  10. The amortisation for both is no more than £11m. Salary we won't know for sure.
  11. A fair amount will depend on bonuses. Salary will be 5m-7m - but CL, 20+ goals etc. might be worth £1-5m - who knows
  12. Botafogo beat PSG 1-0 in the early hours. By my reckoning, assuming PSG beat Seattle, A Madrid will now have to beat Botafogo by at least 3 goals to advance.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Yeah I thought 10-15 would be way too low as soon as I posted it A bit lazy to do the quite simple math. Unsure about their wages but still a poor guess. Cheers.
  14. Probably 18-20 mill pounds a year.
  15. £10-15m/year amortisation, £6-8m/year wages I reckon. Assuming £50-65m transfer fee and £125-150k/week wages

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

What is the “yearly cost” for a player like Isak/Tonali when it comes to amortisation and wages? 10-15m?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I suspect our transfer strategy is broken due to the changes at boardroom level, and we may have lost the people that can force deals through. We’ll see though, I’d love to be wrong.

    Alexander Isak

I’m 100% certain that he won’t want to leave this summer and that we won’t sell him. I’m pretty certain that he will leave next summer though. Because I don’t see us strengthening the squad enough this summer to be able to cope with both CL and everything domestically. I just don’t think we’ll get enough quality/numbers in this summer. I would say that we need at least 2 more or less guaranteed starters and then 3 players that are very talented that can start and be rotated with others as well as challenging for regular starts. Do that and yeah anything is possible. But I don’t see us getting 4-5 players in. Hope I’m wrong.
  19. Everyone panicking just needs to chill - we’ll spend big and there is loads of time left! The budget for incomings will significantly change if a big gun goes so that might be a reason for the delay (if one has to go then hopefully Gordon rather than Isak)! It’s not the Mike Ashley windows where we’ll try and fail to sign a Leicester reserve on loan!

Ha ha my exact thoughts but the gullible idiots do!
  21. I remember that shirt being the first misstep with adidas at the time, don't mind it too much now. A little underwhelmed by the leak, the one we thought we were getting with the stripes looked better imo. Picked up the original and the 95-95 home for about £30 in 2019 before all the prices went mad in lockdown.
  22. This is exactly what is happening. We tried to go early if people recall but we're rejected 3 times. (Huijsen, Delap, Mbuemo).
  23. Let them lose their shit man I'm more than happy to wait and see and, if it all goes Pete Tong, listen to them all shout "told you" I get the frustration, I guess, but the pecking order is clearly set. Big guns are shopping first. Feeder clubs lining up cheaper replacements for their own, soon to be snaffled up players, whilst the Wanabees wait.......patiently

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I mean being patient and not just paying daft prices early in the window is what got us Isak in the end. A bit daft to be worrying about the window when he have one of the best hit rates in Europe for signings. Comparing it to windows where we literally weren't allowed to sign anyone is equally daft
