  3. Definitely one for the unpopular opinions thread but I find Simon Jordan entertaining. Obviously, his role is to be a gobshite, often taking ludicrous positions to draw debate, but he talks a lot of sense on PSR and football finance. His interview with Eddie Howe was interesting as he did not do the usual sycophantic drivel and asked some challenging questions.
  4. If this is the first time this has happened in 6 years surely the other scenarios are much more examples of the norm than they are hypotheticals.
  5. For us to finish 7th, Forest would need to beat West Ham and Chelsea and we'd need to lose to Arsenal and Everton. For that to be Europa Conference, Palace would need to win the FA Cup final. It's not impossible of course, but given the form of all concerned, it seems unlikely.

    sunderland

At 90 minutes during the playoff semi there was a ton of hatred and bile being spewed on RTG against him, 40 minutes later he was the new Messiah. The hilarity of rail works traveling to Wembley when we were in the League cup final has now turned to how Sunderland always get picked on as there are rail works on the day they need to travel to Wembley. Desperate need to portray victimhood due to the weird malaise that hangs over their club and " city".

Cesna Citation Jet coming into Newcastle from Salzburg…Bobby Clark coming home.
  8. I think people need to disregard that thing, it's not gonna be that, it almost certainly never was an option, and was probably someone dicking around and never for public consumption, and some dickhead has broken some confidences somewhere to throw it into the public realm.
  9. Oh ffs, not another one
  10. his last injury was his other knee though wasnt it? Who knows what this one is.
  11. We can still finish 7th quite feasibily and if Palace were to win the FA Cup, that would mean conference football next season, which would be very disappointing. Forest do play after the cup final though, so we will know if we have at least Europa secured by the time they play. If Palace do win the cup then I'll be wanting Forest to drop points, just to be on the safe side.
  12. by Lee Ryder, aged 40 odd and a half.
  13. Assuming we keep growing at our current rate (28% reported for the 12 months ending 30 June 2024) then we should be okay as that will allow us financial clout to improve each year regardless of what the others do. There are a few players out there that I can think of (and likely a lot more) who would improve our current first team squad from mid table teams in France, Germany and Spain for example that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester won't be looking at.
  14. You only have to look at the team Spurs put out on Sunday to know they don’t give a shit about the league games and Man Utd have been playing half arsed for weeks. Nothing I’m more sure of than Man Utd & spurs both losing their remaining league games. We need 3 points and hopefully we beat Arsenal or it’ll be a nervy last game
  15. Fair enough, didn't realise that. Still a big jump from under 23s to three full 90s in 11 days against Spurs, Arsenal and Wolves though. Appreciate that centre backs aren't the sort of players you bring on for 20/30mins like midfielders/strikers too

    Sven Botman

His decision to not get surgery the first time should be studied.
  17. Its going to be hilarious when they still don't win anything next season.
  18. This could be classic Howe mind games. We have no idea on the fitness of Trippier, Botman, Willock or Joelinton. The team could be anything really.
  19. Crock status basically hangs on how fit he remains next season. If he’s fucked for most of it then it’ll be game over I imagine and he’ll likely never play full seasons of football
  20. How much they paying for Zubimendi? Another low key summer for the leagues plucky underdog's.
  21. "TEN Sweden results that PROVE Arsenal's new £70m HITMAN and Toon striker could play TOGETHER"
  22. Rich

    Sven Botman

He’s been available less than Woodgate was, I never thought we’d see the like again.
  23. I would just swap Krafth for Botman and still go 5-4-1 with Tino and Murph on the flanks. No reason to leave out Murphy with the form he's been showing.
  24. if chelsea and villa win I think its probably in our interest forest do as well to have something to play for, we can't finish behind both of them as is, and they have Europe locked in
  25. Good. One less club to link Isak to all summer.
