Also, I know there's lots to criticise, but cheesy chips are genuinely delicious and I don't care who knows it.
-
That sounds too unhinged to be true
-
Might be one of their last chances to succeed at it too
-
If I was one of the Sky 6, I'd be trying to unsettle our players like this/push up our wage bill, even if I had no intention of matching NUFC's/market valuation of the players.
-
Feel like the only way this goes wrong is if we miss loads of chances. I mean you can probably say that about most games tbh, but we know the nervousness that missing chance after chance creates will be significantly amplified here.
-
He’s rapid like, don’t think anyone’s really beaten him for pace when trying to dribble him this season and he’s only been tricked a handful of times too, his positioning is fantastic defensively 1 v 1. A brilliant defensive FB with excellent attributes going forward that will only get better
-
My only real concern is if Moyes gives them a complete pass to play however they fancy and they just pile into attacking. Feels highly unlikely and still think we would win, but I am less concerned if they sit deep - as mentioned above, think we have found ways through this in recent months and would do so again. Regardless, nerves are still there and building. How the fuck is it so tight going into the last game. Nuts.
-
They've got a flag there now that shows one of their players who has beheaded Sam Fender holding up his decapitated head with "THIS IS THE ONLY BLOOD ON OUR HANDS!" written underneath it.
-
Once he settles down a bit in the final third. He’s going to be the complete full back and certainly one of the best in the world. Not many get any change out of him 1 v 1. Especially when he plays on the left.
-
It’s time to show them we’re no longer beneath them but their rivals, they won’t like the response.
-
Garnacho would be the one I'd actually want if we tried our luck with Man Utd. Perfect storm at the moment with Amorim not fully keen and Garnacho considering options. He'll be marmite for a lot of people, but I'd be confident if he was playing in Europe we'd be all excited for him. Still a raw player in there that can be moulded to how you want, and a direct RW in how Murphy has been can be that for him. With option he can also play LW in future years too. Decision making the part he needs to improve loads, but he's 20 and got a high ceiling to tap into.

Inspiration speech to the players maybe?

And you may ask yourself, "How will we ever get three points?" And you may ask yourself, "Will we be able to get past their low block?" And you may tell yourself, "We are not qualifying for Champions League" And you may tell yourself, "We will definitely be defeated on Sunday" Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down Letting the days go by, water flowing underground Into the blue again, after the money's gone Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground Same as it ever was, same as it ever was Same as it ever was, same as it ever was Same as it ever was, same as it ever was Same as it ever was, same as it ever was -
Think Dan Burn is near nail on to go to World Cup unless he gets injured IMO. Bang in form, Tuchel likes him and if it's between him and Maguire for that LCB experience spot, he's easily ahead.
-
Not sure why Eddie wasn't clear on Callum when questioned in the presser, it's so blatantly obvious Sunday will be his last time in a Newcastle shirt.
-
Forest play low block and we have beaten them 3 times this season, think you are right that more aggressive pressing teams have done us
-
Same old over estimating our opponents compared to others. Love how Villa away at Man U is a certain win yet Everton at home for us will be a low block struggle. If anything Man U need to show they have any form of bollocks to their fans in final home game. We have the easiest fixture out of all 5 teams competing for top 5.
-
About time. He's look pretty meh against them for us.
-
He'll be up for it against this lot on Sunday.
-
Have we struggled that much against a low block this season? Can’t recall it that much tbh. More the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth style we have struggled against.

They're the exact sort of team we struggle against (i.e. low block), expecting a nervy 2-1 win -
Scorers in order?

They break quite well Everton and will be organised and hard to play through. They worry me from set pieces. Potential for Pickford having a worldie worries. They’ll play for knockdowns off Beto so mf will have to be on it and keep with their runners. Early goal might be to our disadvantage if we don’t increase and it leads to nervy players and fans like against Chelsea. I’m so happy to have Botman back especially for a fixture against these big bastards, he’s a tank with a rolls royce engine. Belief will soar if Isak starts. Start Barnes and get him twisting Young inside out, get him sent off early doors. I don’t think they can beat us, but they can certainly draw if we’re not clinical.
