We certain this isn't a Lincoln City/Darren Huckerby style affair? -
Would you take him if it meant getting rid of Gordon?
-
What happened to his coaching career? Seemed he had a bit of promise at Huddersfield then fell off a cliff
-
Was earning less than the minimum wage there wasn't he? Be interesting to see if he carries on elsewhere or packs it in. Still remember the utter deflation on that day he went to King Cunty's Scouse Reds. Man, that was such a grim fucking day. How fucking grateful that we're where we are today, man.

Only 36, could do worse for a home grown cheap option š¤£

Makes a lot more sense than Plymouth

As for Liverpool - all this press is clearly coming from them to unsettle him. Just fuck off.

It honestly feels like that's the way some people think. I'm happy to just wait and see, and when the transfer window actually closes, then we can assess if it's good, bad, or somewhere in-between

Get him on an improved contract ASAP, IMO. Make him our highest paid player, on world class money. Try and get a year or two extension. Then agree to a release clause, that relates to where we are in competions - in CL £180M, outside - £150M. Reality is, he will go at somepoint, and we probably need him to financiallly. Improve the contract and keep his value high, or accept he is going next summer, and keep it as it is. At the end of the day, we are not currently (I know the window only recently opened) looking particularly agreesive in the transfer market. That will almost certainly change, and deals will be done. But to keep someone like Isak, we need to show real progress and strength in depth after this window.
