    NUFC Transfer Rumours

An emergency PL meeting followed by a new rule banning the loan of players from the Saudi Pro League.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

By paying out about half a mill a week to do so. Gamble hasn’t worked if they don’t make CL. *I will say that in the position they found themselves come January, it was probably a ‘sensible’ gamble, but doesn’t necessarily equate that we would be in a similar position. *And I’d also say that Emery’s coaching methods lend themselves much better to loaning players than Howe’s does. Emery tends to do a lot more trading of players, and swapping players in and out to suit particular games. Howe is more about coaching players to be able to do what he wants (probably generalising significantly in relation to both of them like).

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The more I see Mbuemo the more clearly suited he is to our style. He’d be a monster here. Have him over Cunha every single time.
  5. I wonder what would happen if you start getting Saudi Pro League players on loan
  6. Still 2 wins and a draw for CL I think - as long as one of them occurs against Chelsea. One more win needed for Europa.
  7. What's your point? I'm talking about fine margins. Our inaction particularly around sponsorships is one of the reasons why we have a thin squad which can't play 3 times in a week. If you think they aren't slow on these matters or couldn't do more that's total fine though.
  8. Tbf we should have put Brighton away in the first half of the league game and although the cup game was much more even, having automated offsides rather than the lines, quite possibly did us over with the Schar goal. Understand the apprehension given our most recent performances down there but it’s not as tough a game as some seem to think IMO.
  9. This has nothing to do with it. I've been keeping track of those 4 factors for long time. My post was actually triggered by the further delay to the new training ground which is inexplicable imo. 3 years to find a piece of grass is hilarious.
  10. To those who think we should be getting Cunha and Mbuemo (both very good players) can you please keep future complaints about FFP, not having squad big enough and having to sell players to yourself please. Thanks.
  11. Although for good omens the last time we beat Brighton was in the run in for our CL push.
  12. I'm guessing if we'd been in Europe by the January of our CL campaign, we'd have made some sort of additions even on loan like Villa did.
  13. Trafford, Guehi, Nmecha, Lookman ( if Gordon leaves)Mbeumo,
  14. Bloody use the loan market if needed too villa smashed it by doing so in jan
  15. Brighton have absolutely fallen to bits since they got knocked out the cup. Long may it continue.
  16. Think Mbuemo looks a far more accomplished finisher than Gordon and seems to find himself in central areas like his first goal on Saturday regularly.
  17. No, as Gordon is hopeless up front.
  18. Would playing Mbuemo up front not just be the same as playing Gordon up front?
  19. Today
  20. Can see Mbuemo being the number one target can play across the front 3 and guarantee’s goals, can’t see the funds stretching to a winger and forward even with CL football. If we got Mbuemo, Trafford and Huijsen it would strengthen 3 key positions and would be hard to argue that it wasn’t a good summer. I can see Longstaff and Wilson leaving to free up wages and possibly Pope, if Trafford arrives. Would like another dynamic attacking midfielder in an ideal world, especially if we secure CL football, as the system we play requires more than Willock and Miley in reserve with the potential extra games.
  21. I do a lot of work in Saudi and fully agree, but have to add that if they really want something, they want it done in unrealistic timeframes, ie yesterday. An incredibly frustrating place to do business, especially when it comes to invoices being settled, regardless of the size/liquidity of the organisation.
  22. One of the worst in the league.
  23. Don't think you go from 2-0 being a standard non-descript defeat/victory to 3-0 being a thrashing
  24. Think it’s fair to say they more than deserved that, mind.
  25. Froggy is a manure twat, but he's our manure twat. Think of him as that 'uncle' who has nowt else in his life but to come join the family on Christmas day. You're not sure of the relation, he stinks, gets a bit gobby, but he's there and wouldn't be the same without him. Well that's Froggy. Just don't trust him around the kids.
  26. Where’s Aduriz when you need him
