He was on about 80k at Leverkusen, and now he's making almost triple that. A 200k wage is huge at Liverpool. Only Salah and VVD get paid more than him. I think his agent did very well there.
  3. Like any strategy you will have winners and losers and the dopper is obviously a loser, due to the PSR gaming they've done they are absolutely fine though. I don't cry about them gaming the system because everyone has the option to do it and the members refuse to close said loopholes which allow Chelsea the space. Don't hate the player and all that. And to add on (fuck you for making me defend such a pointless club btw ) they do sell players better than most and they generate much more than us given they have won both the league and champions league quite recently
  4. Or if they've been bought for £100m and have been caught doping and face a lengthy ban while on an 8 year contract. Something like that should be devastating for a club that hasn't even got a front of shirt sponsor, right? Right?

Wirtz need a better agent if he's just become the British transfer record and is only on half of what Salah makes.
  7. Saw the news on X...figured I'd log on and there'd be less bed wetting... Trust in the man who brought us back from the brink and disrupted the elite on the pitch.

Not many, Wirtz is apparently going to be on 200k. Saka is in about 195k. I feel if we really want to keep Isak an offer of 190k to 220k will see him sign an extension.
  10. I hope we don't have the full story because our strategy appears lazy and aimless like the last summer window.
  11. Of course we can't. How many people can they pay that to though?

Liverpool’s top two wages are £400,000 and £350,000 - we still can’t compete with that.
  13. If eddie has his heart set on him then he's worth what we decide to pay for him. To me he is basically a pace merchant but the manager must think with him still been quite young there's plenty to improve and work on.
  14. The only disappointed part About this is "Saudi tax" hasn't been mentioned
  15. Ireola is a top manager though. Keep hold him and they'll be absolutely fine.
  16. Which I could understand given how successful they were on the pitch. This current lot, however...
  17. Kompany seems to hate Palhinha. What a waste of 50 mil
  18. Apologies. I like how the hair is the line I can’t cross
  19. More fucking American franchise owners in Italy. Just as many as in the PL now.
  20. Agreed although that looks very good in hindsight at the time Tonali was exciting and the others were questionable - eg why buy Tino when trippier was one of the best in Europe previous season, Hall had only played a few games and was expensive, Barnes wasn’t as sexy as Paqueta or Maddison etc
  21. Summer 2022 also. Isak, Pope, Targett (meh) and Botman. We have signed some top, top players in the Howe era.
  22. He’s basically the Steve Parish of the league. Same hair and all.
  23. No player is ever untouchable at Atalanta. They are ultimately a small club (although without doubt the best run club in Italy with the best academy) and their model is that they do sell. They generally sell on their terms though as they don't have any financial issues. I think with Scalvini they would rather keep him and hope he develops further rather than sell at a perceived dip in value.
