The bold bit we can go round in circles arguing as we’ll never know, but I disagree. When a player views a move as a stepping stone, as long as it’s to a PL club, I think they’ll choose the one that offers the best release clause (assuming there isn’t a massive discrepancy in wages). It’s all about how they’ve mapped their careers out. We’re trying hard to establish ourselves with the elite (despite being massively handicapped by the rules), so it’s no good allowing the perception of the club being a stepping stone in any way. Having said that, if a player were to ask for a release clause where, if activated, the money would be genuinely transformative, that’s different, and I can probably get on board with it (so if Isak said ‘I’ll sign a new contract but I want a release clause of £150m’, then fair enough).

You’ll be missed Kaka. -
U21s in quarters against Spain tonight. I've been thoroughly unimpressed by most of the England squad we've seen. Tinos been good going forward but defensively sus at times. Going forward Rowe has been poor. Mcatee and Elliott are very technical and offer little physicality. Hutchinson is better, dynamic and direct. Can't even remember who's in centre mid 😂 keeper has been good for a lad with a shrunken hand. Defensively Gray doesn't look like a right back, Quansah is ok, carries the ball well but defensively not great and the other CB is just a lump 😂 Shit forgot Anderson. He's been great. A Bruno regen. I want to cry every time he plays.

Genuinely have no idea how we'd go about replacing him and in theory he's hitting his peak seasons right now. The fee would have to be ridiculous to even contemplate selling him but the reality is that if he wants a move away to Madrid, PSG or Barca then you'd have to let him go and bend the buying club over completely

Phenomenal head loss. This place is finished.
-
I reckon the heat's getting to you with that last sentence like I can't even remember a single bit of noteworthy communication from Charnley and Llambias.
-
I wouldn't sell him at all. But if it was for huge money and outside the premier league, I would at least understand the decision.
-
Why do people keep saying this? It’s not true at all .

Max Aarons to Rangers Only 25 and he's already on a downward trajectory. Always thought it was odd how much fanfare him and Lewis got playing fullback for Norwich. Aarons was linked with Barcelona and Bayern ffs

Fair point. I do remember him saying he wouldn't be leaving straight away, but as you say then it's on the board to take that decision out of his hands. -
See Nuno has signed a new deal at Forest

I think the last few windows have just shown that all of the local journalists have absolutely no idea what is going on. Makes me think whether we actually have an interest in Pedro, Elanga etc or even had an interest in Mbuemo or whether it’s completely made up to get clicks. It’s too easy for them to say the deal never happened. Most of the players we do sign it gets announced from out of nowhere. Whereas they all seem to have the ‘saga transfers’ where we never actually sign who they have linked us with. Were we ever even interested in the player at all!?
-
I think you know the answer to your question. Apologies. Give him a bit of patience and it won’t be too long before he’s settled and at his best tearing it up*
-
I got a feeling this will be the last season of Isak with us before he moves to Liverpools or madrids.
-
He's got cancer, at that stage the decision should be taken out of his hands and a replacement sought asap. Although 9 months is about par for our ASAP.

It's mad how Liverpool have told TeleFootball all about their finances
-
Exclusively bullshit
-
Don't those things contradict each other ?
-
Bullshit test. Portuguese player, two English clubs involved. Exclusive broken by French "journalist" ❌
-
Club who's spent just shy of £200m already can't afford world's best striker shocker.
-
If he’d joined Newcastle and then Madrid had came in the transfer probably would have happened, but he’d surely have accepted a higher and more limited clause from NUFC as he’d have been playing at a higher level. The offer is now CL football, even the most ambitious players will recognise this is a club you can do well at. And personally I’m fine with players bought for £25m having £100m Real Madrid clauses in their contracts

As the saying goes `you're having a Giraffe` -
Honestly wouldn't mind him being sold for mad money. Would set us up to strengthen widely.
