Isn’t a free roaming, free kick winning possession based Grealish someone we want against teams who sit in a low block? Not that shite robot Pep turned him into. We always struggle to be creative enough to break those teams down.
-
Levy does a great job running Spurs IMO, I just think his hiring and firing of managers is abysmal and also the fact he never trusts them
-
They signed Le Fee for about £20 million, have to pay Birmingham 15% of the Bellingham fee, and will be paying for increased wages/bonuses to their players for promotion (Ipswich paid £16 million last year).
-
Howay, Pep. Buy the club.
-
Cellino is a prick. Loved Brescia when younger with Baggio, Pep and Dari Hubner who famously smoked 40 a day.
-
Hall wasn't a loan deal in reality. Targett ok, but it was the first window where we just had to get people in to avoid relegation.
-
Grealish would be a terrible signing. Loan or permanent. He'd do well to move abroad and try and extend his career as I think it's done in the PL. The City move killed it.
-
I was talking in terms of whole career, not one mistake.
-
If it's real not saying it is but might be a change of tact from the club as can't buy enough players to bolster the squad to compete in all competitions. While loans aren't what we do it may be an idea worth exploring to help the squad. Don't think many of us have been against the idea of the odd loan but can see why Howe isn't keen historically.
-
Getting £30m for Bellingham, if they then signed Longstaff and Hackney for say £35m combined, they’d be so far better off
-
Brescia gone bust it would appear.
-
We'll only do loan deals if they're obligations/options to buy of players we really want. Eddie has been quoted in saying this in the past that they're only done as a means to sign players we want permanently. I don't think we will ever sign a high wage, high age player on a short term loan deal no matter how much people see the logic in it or suggest it. It's just not the way Eddie and the club wants to operate, even if it leaves us short. I tend to agree with it tbh.
-
Think Man City know that any deal and they’ll probably have to cover £150k-£200k of his wages (if he’s on £300k). He’s been told to go and won’t be in USA. So it’s best interest for them to just take any offer going early doors instead of prolonging it to end of August for the sake of saving like £2m in wages.
-
Shilton was dogshit tbf and he’s a bigoted cunt to boot. Got outjumped by an Argentinian midget.
-
True but we most definately do do loans.
-
He just said what everyone would be saying behind closed doors Almiron was a joke at that point, then turned clinical on back of it.
-
Completely different situations aren’t they. Targett when we were desperate, Hall because we couldn’t afford to buy him at the time.
-
Strange Dortmund have gone for Bellingham as I read on RTG just before their play off win that he’d only had ten good games for them. They’re going down regardless. Straight down with no drama, no fuss. It’ll be nine months where no one even registers their presence. The PL has gotten immeasurably better since they were last here and they don’t have anything like the tools needed to even compete for a spot between 15th and 17th.
-
It's a bit dating the guy we told Miggy not to worry about but if he can find his Villa form and we're not paying his wages fuck it.
-
Apart from Hall and Targett you mean?
-
Tried to sign Jesse Lingard on loan.
-
Just keep giving him 1 year contracts until he's 60 imo
-
And Pickford's better than Shilton.
-
We don’t do loan deals.
