  2. Yeah, but are we in a position to drop £15m on that kind of player, with the likelihood of them having very little resale value?
  3. Like that kit. Not a huge fan of the “badge on a badge”, but it’s areet.
  4. I mean, having it tucked into a pair of fucking trousers doesn't help make it look any better.
  5. Wow the glazing is incredible.
  6. This is the type of ‘a body’ transfer I’ve been referring too. Probably 3rd choice in the role but an important squad position. Happy to sit on the bench for extended periods of time if needed.
  7. Then surely SJP, the physical infrastructure can be sold to ourselves and used for the same purpose it is now?
  8. I know we lease the ground, however the stadium is owned by the club, after all didn’t they pay for all the rebuilding etc.
  9. Then you sell some of the saleable assets from the deep squad you have. Again - this is exactly what we did last summer. Which is also the case when you don’t qualify for the CL but have CL quality players in the squad not in the competition. You’re being pedantic. Are you saying we have zero assets to sell… to ourselves? We can also buy assets with the express intention of selling them to ourselves - that is allowed in the rules. Are you suggesting that is impossible? Barcelona sold its own future revenue properly. Not even to itself.

Ask them for a bet. It will be humiliating for them when they lose. That's what I allways do in those situations.
  11. Listening to R4extra The Ultimate Choice hosted by Steph Mcgovern with Chris MacCausland. Quite funny until they brought on Luke Edwards to comment on the footie dilemma...Mary Poppins or Frankenstein. Times must be hard.
  12. We lease the ground from the council. See for example: "So what are the risks? Alongside planning difficulties Newcastle’s lease on the ground expires in 2097 which is a long way away but also will need to be extended – perhaps beyond the 99-year lease that was agreed last time the ground was expanded in 1998. i understands the city council are amenable to that, but haven’t been approached yet." - https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-eight-questions-decide-leave-st-james-park-3307648
  13. Do Arsenal really need another CB? Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior and then Calafiori, Timber, White and Tomiyasu have all played a lot of CB too during their careers.

  15. Elanga had a better season. Not sure he’s a better player. It’s like Gordon and Barnes. At his best Gordon is more effective and consistent. But Barnes is better technically and is more composed.
  16. Nah, he was exposed a few years ago as a complete faker by one of the Athletic journalists
  17. Elanga is a proven PL talent, an upgrade on Murphy, and would hit the ground running on match day 1. There really aren’t any other players available to us who tick all three boxes.
  18. The dressy casual look has really sold it for me. Can't wait to break out the slacks for my next ballot win.

  20. Unless something changed I don't believe orange is an option from the PL. Black/White/Red/Navy/Yellow are the only options afaik. Noon yellow for me like.
  21. No, it's like owning a leasehold house, but unlike leasehold house there are likely to be restrictions on the club's ability to sell and/or for the land to be used for anything else.

Fair play to Burnely for buying him, improving him and then selling him for a loss. Bought for £15m, sold for £17m with City getting 20%.
