Annoying that he always moves Banes over to the left. But I did think Barnes looked good on the right. Especially when he was coming into central areas to receive the ball.

Today we did what they say the best big sides do which is play poorly and get a result. Hope it's an omen. Now if the Scousers can do us a little favour...... -
Honestly I thought he was much better today than recently. Dive was awful, obviously but he I think he was better than Bruno today.
-
To the Willock thread! Never mind that Bruno and Tonali were both worse.
-
Off the pace far too often? Before today, we had collected 42 points in 19 games, and won 20 in 27, Liverpool are the only team to collect more points in that time with 44, and the team in third where on 38. We've been remarkably consistent for a long time, recently won a trophy and are full of confidence, having scored 2 or more in 6 of the last 7 games, and scoring 21 in that time, that assumption was more than justified.
-
Yes, but you just know they'll turn up against us, in the league. Still think we can get something though.
-
They've absolutely gone
-
Agreed. Was strange to see us take so long to move the ball today; was like having a few Longstaffs on the pitch in that regard.
-
I’m buzzing to escape with a point there. With 10 mins to go losing at the Amex it’s a class result
-
Agree with most of these but I’d mark Willock down massively for the dive
-
they really have fucked the game with this nonsense. Hate everything about VAR . A bunch of technocrats trying to make the game a science exam.
-
..for who? Don't think he earned a start after that cameo

As much as we might have been a bit wasteful I thought Brighton defended their box really well like. There was a body in the way of everything we fired in. -
Absolutely can’t wait until the selling of their top players catches up with Brighton and they go down. Fuck off back down the leagues where you belong.
-
Have you seen them recently?
-
I genuinely think Longstaff / Miley would give a better performance today. It’s shocking, and what’s even worse is it’s not the first time this season. He is having a shocking season so far
-
Missed this lad today. I pray we can have him back soon
-
Thought Barnes was probably the best of a middling to poor bunch. Only one who showed a bit of urgency on the ball across the 90. Way too much sloppy passing and indecision from the rest. We move on.
-
Decent point, which we fought back well to get and deserved. Possibly a little unlucky at the margins, deflected goal for them, Wieffer v. close to second yellow, six inches off Gordon penalty etc. On the other hand, 50p heed for them missed the best chance of the game. Bogey ground and the curse in the league remains.

Good point but only if Chelsea don't win. -
Our only player to test their keeper.

Still in our hands. Deserved the point. Ground it out in the end. Bringing in more attacking quality will be a game changer this summer. Important we see CL out. Our potential chance creation is wild and has been for a few seasons. We have scored and created a ton. Which makes it weird to say we need to find a way to increase our consistency in the final third. It has held us back at times and we could at least double our output with better decision making.
