Before today, we had collected 42 points in 19 games, and won 20 in 27, Liverpool are the only team to collect more points in that time with 44, and the team in third where on 38. We've been remarkably consistent for a long time, recently won a trophy and are full of confidence, having scored 2 or more in 6 of the last 7 games, and scoring 21 in that time, that assumption was more than justified.

Thought Barnes was probably the best of a middling to poor bunch. Only one who showed a bit of urgency on the ball across the 90. Way too much sloppy passing and indecision from the rest. We move on.

Decent point, which we fought back well to get and deserved. Possibly a little unlucky at the margins, deflected goal for them, Wieffer v. close to second yellow, six inches off Gordon penalty etc. On the other hand, 50p heed for them missed the best chance of the game.
