    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Thought this was incredibly interesting. So important to have a good recruitment team that is also brave, and digs deeper than the more surface and standard way of thinking about players. Funny how he talked about Liverpool not having much competition for Salah because he was seen as having already failed at Chelsea, as clubs didn't look deeper into the situation and the context. I always see this sort of thinking from a lot of fans as well, in how they write off players. Bit of an annoyance of mine.
  3. The days of it being an honour to sell one of our top players are over, still think this hasn’t sunk in quite yet with other clubs fans.
  4. This is on me because I didn't define it this way at first - but what I'm really referring to is 'VAR being applied to offside decisions' as opposed to VAR in totality. That's always and forever been my principal issue with it. Hopefully there's enough in my post history to quantify this position rather than have it appear as backtracking. And it's not so much blaming VAR (being applied to offside decisions), but saying it doesn't happen without it.
  5. Can’t stand the cunts anybody wanting them up needs their fucking head read. No other thoughts on the subject up the Blades hammer the scruffy small time cunts.
  6. Whoa now. Check out a clip on YouTube where he’s the first guy in the Man City team who notices that a little girl in a presentation group is blind. The best I’ve seen Grealish perform is when he was given a free role in the England team. Maybe he’s underused out wide. Eddie has a knack of turning round careers and if he wants him, that’s good enough for me.

I wonder if Man City fans still think this involves a straight swap for Bruno.
  8. Grealish won't recover. It's Alan Smith all over again.
  9. His Champs League money that he's probably already spent aswell!
  10. Flag of Northumbria would be decent if that could be incorporated on top of the Castle instead.
  11. What about kicks/stamps/rakes/elbows etc. that were much more common before the introduction of VAR? Deliberate attempts to injure an opponent off the ball have pretty much been eliminated by VAR as players simply won't get away with it. I think blaming VAR for injuries is mental to be honest.
  12. Screams “you invest in ours, we’ll invest equivalent in yours” grift to inflate valuations.
  13. We weren’t a counter attacking team at all when we finished 4th. We pressed more than we ever have under Howe.
  14. A favour for one of his American mates who owns Chelsea? £20m is peanuts to him but helps his mates justify the £200m valuation, just a thought!
  15. Don't see any complication here. If it's given as offside straight away he doesn't clatter into the post; it's a simple as that. Other hypothetical scenarios are irrelevant.
  16. If the flag had been raised straight away for offside he wouldn't have been chasing a lost cause. My point is that the incident was avoidable in this case.
  17. Think the Forest owners using a bit deflection of his behaviour tbh. He was massively pissed off that they hadn’t won and that the player should have come off. He had no idea how serious the injury was, stating otherwise and of his primary concern being player safety, is just bollocks. He was watching his Champs League money slip through his fingers.
  18. This 👍 Interesting that clip of Sandro, when asked "who's the most underrated player you've played with (ever)" Replies "Sean Longstaff" Seems, to some, both Eddie Howe AND Sandro Tonali know jack shit 😂😂😂
  19. Looked an absolute clip when out with Pickford, cheering against us incidentally the fucking cunt. Hardest of hard passes.
  20. Makes it slightly harder to argue with the £200m valuation when someone external takes 10% at that price. Fuckers. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cn05x60p8dro
  21. Aye it’s not about the offside procedure or VAR. He could have been a yard further back, comfortably onside and still had the same injury.
  22. Spot on. Rip off Britain, I think it's called.
  23. Have realised that the club aren't thick, so this won't actually be in consideration. This is gonna be the terrible choice they give for fans to invest their disgust into, which will make the preferred actual option appear the best. This fan involvement will be a front btw. They have made up their mind, but they need to do this process to onboard everyone as best they can.
  24. Agreed to both of the above posts. I find it quite bizarre people are putting the blame on VAR with this. There's been plenty of accidents in football long before VAR.
  25. Forest on the attack, linesman incorrectly flags for offside and Leicester get a free-kick. Leicester go on the attack and Vardy smashes into the goalpost from an attack which could have been prevented if VAR was about to give the officials a second glance. Who's the blame or are both instances just freak accidents?
