  1. Past hour
  2. Was standard, back in the day, iirc
  3. I want to avoid being the first team at Everton’s new ground, and the first to play them midweek under the lights. I’d be happy having someone like Brighton, or Bournemouth away first, somewhere where we usually lose, get it over and done with, hopefully we can catch them before they get going. The same applies for Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc.
  4. Gonna watch eng u21s instead I think.. Currently watching u19 lasses. Under the cosh by NED but still 0-0.
  5. Apparently the rugby World Cup is on at Sunderland during the second week, so that suggests we’ll be away first. let’s go: Man Utd away first Leeds at home boxing day Arsenal away last day

Love the lad whose son is into a varied mix of music: ‘Oasis, the Charlatans, even the Beetles.’ All the music.
  8. 😳😳😳 please tell me you've made this up.
  9. Nikko Boxall who starts at their CB was playing in the Finnish league couple years ago. Nothing special. Now playing against Bayern.
  10. For all we know, we might have already submitted a training ground sponsorship to the PL and they've rejected or delayed it.
  11. It’s worth bearing in mind that even though Chelsea’s loopholes helped them with Premier League PSR, it doesn’t help with UEFA’s. So if we did try Chelsea like sales of assets, we would likely be kicked out of the Champions League and Europe in general. Chelsea will escape being kicked out because of their ‘stature’, ours is less, and also the Qatari’s will be very happy to twist the knife in with UEFA in their back pocket. I get the frustration over the stadium, and the training ground. The training ground frustration is much more relatable. We really should know what we want to do now, and where. The stadium situation is harder though. Up until recently, any official fan survey has always said that staying at SJP was the preferred choice. We also need to know how many fans we need to accolade. We needed time for things to settle down after the takeover to judge if ticket demand was just spiking, or continuously rising. Also since the pandemic, event attendance across the western world has risen across the board. You look at Arsenal now wanting to increase capacity of the Emirates to 80k in a stadium that is just shy of 20 years old. I would dare to say that if Levy was building Spurs’ stadium, they would be looking at an 80k capacity as well. We need to take time to asses the demand and other requirements correctly, so that in 5 years or 29 years time we are not going to try and change things once again. In saying this, I am massively frustrated with being told news is imminent, only for it not to be. It’s like the takeover saga all over again. #stadiumcans
  12. Why wait though? Stick PIF on the training kit for £5m/year and that's a £100k/week wage rise for Isak paid for. If the rules get thrown out completely then great, that £5m is now £50m. But why lose out on potential income now on the basis that the rules might get binned off at some point in the future?

Would see us through one or two incredible windows.

I think it’s more likely that they go for Leao.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to sell him, but that's a mental fee.
  16. Today
  17. I really hope this is all it is, because we need to take the self-imposed wage cap off if we really want to keep our best players or attract new ones. Three windows of not being able to strengthen while clubs all around us are taking the piss is more than enough.
  18. Looked like quite an entertaining game TBF, as I'm sure many of them will be. Incredible performance from the Al-Ahly goalie.

If they sell Nunez and Diaz I think there's a good chance

They can’t make their mind up wether SF is too thick to realise he’s alienating half of the region or he’s a genius tricking the geordies in to believing he likes football
  21. We’ve said this for years. And both questioned if they have the motivation to exploit loopholes. More concerned with Saudi League, World Cup, CWC etc. than exploiting loopholes to get NUFC success it looks like.

Had a couple of tree surgeons at the house last week and they told me they'd just done a few jobs for Shearer. I trotted out the "isn't he a dick to work for" because I'd heard it so often. Turns out he was great and made them all tea. I'm ashamed to say I've always believed it because it's said so often. True story.
  23. I'm convinced especially with the sponsorship. It causes massive problems also because if the judges do decide that the breakneck changes brought in were illegal (they will), then the whole APT rules were and are null. This then leaves massive implications for us (and other clubs) to exploit. Not be long to find out anyway.

£100 million would be an absolute no brainer. Doubt it's true like.
  25. Don't pm me your login, as you will definitely be banned within 5 minutes. Few hand grenades here and there to set them in utter meltdown.
