Yes , Tom Cairney if it was a straight choice for a game played tonight and I had to choose! Age is irrelevant in my point , my point is we are living in the here and now and we need better (squad) and 1st team players to close the huge gap/drop off

Aye. I think he’ll get plenty of games next season tbh. Hopefully he can have a proper preseason this time and really kick on and challenge. So so many games to be played too.

Penalties are about nerves/composure first, technique second. It's why you can see in some players' faces they've already missed before starting the run-up.
-
A win would be full Vince McMahon gif. A draw would be amazing. A loss, well I can take it after such highs of recent. I'm glad the team doesn't have my outlook mind. I can see us being well up for it alongside villa and this being a bit of a classic.
-
Letting him out on loan would more or less not get us any money in whatsoever We would then have to get two CM in. We are very light in that area when you consider that we play with 3. I don’t see Longstaff staying beyond this season either. Especially light in quality.
-
Think Villa will be full of adrenaline early, start fast and then tire, hopefully they ride the early storm. Great to be involved in games like this late in the season.

Would be horrified if we sold Miley. I don't think we'd consider it but I'm perturbed by the gossip. It feels agent driven and if he's fussing about lack of game time then we need to get him out on loan. He can definitely feel aggrieved about being behind Longstaff in the pecking order, though hopefully that's just a means to an end.

Not sure if been deleted but I've got no idea what I'm looking at there

Fun, and seemingly widely unknown, fact. Miley isn't actually "slow" - quite the opposite in fact as analysis data will bear out. His perceived "lack of pace" may be due to the fact that in his appearances to date he hasn't been in a role to go on blistering runs. Wait for it, it will be quite a revelation. On the broader point his "problem" is (though it's not really a problem) that he is an 18 year old in a squad which has the best performing midfield 3 in football right now. If that 3 are going to play 50 odd games without suspension, injury or anything else then yes he needs to move on. Of course any sane person, or non-journalist, knows that that is not going to happen and next season (if not already this) he is our next best midfield player. Can't see any situation, currently, where it would make sense to let him go. Is there anywhere else that would be better for a talented 18 year old midfielder, than to be working with those 3, as well as the rest of our highly talented and motivated squad, right now ? We, like him, just need to be a little bit patient for now but his time will definitely come.

Lest we forget “Bobby Robson’s nearly fucking dead”. The RTG lot are absolute simpletons, with a moral compass that fluctuates more wildly than going over the North Pole.
-
A loan to the Bundesliga wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for his development but we're going to need him next season, his time will come. We shouldn't even be entertaining the notion of selling him. Sure, he's far from the finished article but if he's got it in him, Eddie will find it.

Man City and Liverpool had some superb games a few years ago when both were right on it. On the pressing, it is true that Burn and Pope can be pressured, and Schar to a less extent. However it’s also true if you press them really high up, and Burn has to give it to Trippier or Tino in the corners then 10 seconds later Tonali or Bruno can be on the turn with the ball at their feet and that press has left bags of space in behind for Murphy, Barnes and Isak to play with. Undoubtedly a weakness but if teams aren’t careful it can be flipped.

If Howe still wants him, so do I. He’s won us a trophy and will win many more!

Happy Easter Paully. “Enjoy the game” -
I can see why Howe wants this guy. Can play left and right and as part of a back three. Good leadership qualities and can play out with the ball. I wouldn’t let our two games against them change the opinion on him. At the right price I can see us going back in during the summer.
-
We probably won’t sell him, and I don’t want us to. He has a bright future. Having said that, let’s not kid ourselves that IF a very good offer comes in we might very well consider it. If the club see that the money in could be used for a better player and some more. One that is ready now to play on a regular basis without the quality in midfield dropping. It doesn’t mean that the club don’t believe in him. It could just be that they think there’s a quicker route to the top. It’s a different matter in the future where we won’t have to wheel and deal to the same degree.
-
Miley isn't going anywhere, lads. Longstaff, Wilson and, to some degree, Willock are getting the nod before Miley for a number of reasons. Not least being his nurtured return from injury but also the experience and (perceived or otherwise) reliability. Needing to rest/save "starters" whilst defending leads is probably a time for safety first. In Eddie/MadDog we trust. Don't bother replying, if you could even be arsed in the first place 😂, with your individual critique of the qualities of those 3 aforementioned players. I'll just go with what Howe does, tbf 👍

Ah okay, couldn't tell if it was a homage or a rip off. Either way you should be ashamed of yourself.

I’ve only ever driven through, and safe to say never again.
