  1. Past hour
  2. I believe it is but the rule is that teams in the CL can't meet teams in the EL due to UEFA dates, so we can still play one of the other 5 CL teams assuming we qualify, it just so happened that this year all the European teams ended up with easy ties anyway and a CL team didn't draw Man U or Spurs (insert joke of choice about easy games against those two here) Bye to the third round aswell though so at least that's something!
  3. I'd take Jack. Howe would work wonders with him. Great player that can chip in with goals.
  4. Aye, get a bye to the 3rd round, and even then you can’t get a fellow European teams.
  5. Mendy was tops for like 2-years for Chelsea. Think he won the FIFA GK award deservedly. Won the AFCON and CL in the same year iirc
  6. Nah FA Cup 3rd round and 4th round are banana skins due to requiring significant rotation. FA Cup suits teams with deep squads which is why City win it so often.
  7. LFEE

    St James' Park

Yes. Two viable options near current ground. Not confirmed so don’t quote me. Just a bit of chatter from somewhere. Guess if we want bigger the further out they must go.
  8. And remember we’re in the cool gang that can’t get a hard draw in the third round of the Carabao now (assuming that’s still a thing next season?).
  9. Christ Carlos Kameni was an FM beast, signed him from Espanyol on multiple saves.
  10. Personally I think they'd have to do that if they want any chance of staying up, regardless of who their keeper is.
  11. The timing of the earlier stages of the FA Cup are far better for a club in Europe though, particularly one like us who may still have squad depth concerns. As we saw in 2023, playing in the CL and advancing to the QF of the League Cup is a brutal schedule with the international breaks bringing the only respite.
  12. Its the physios own fault for The Jam he's got himself into.
  13. It was tongue in cheek mate. He's a nightmare keeper with a year left on his contract. I just want rid of him. He doesn't even come for crosses. Luckily we got a young Celtic goalie on loan so he was parked on the bench. One of the worst keepers ever to play at East End Park. It was a completely moronic manager that gave him a long term contract. Maybe we can pan him off to Sunderland.
  14. Just hope they don't look back in anger at what they've achieved this season.
  15. Rice is their main man. He's such an athlete, without him I see us winning the mf battle. With him I think they edge it with big Joe missing.
  16. Then when they tell a player to come off they get hammered for that too.
  17. I imagine a lot of ManU fans would disagree? Certainly for us, or Tottenham. But having seen ManU fans when they beat us in the League Cup final, it hardly seemed a season-defining event. Given the much worse league position, and the decline of the Europa's prestige, my impression is most would still consider the season a big failure. From the outside, to me, this looks like a cup that's of low value to ManU and a historically bad league season that really dents the prestige and draw of the club.
  18. That’ll definitely make everything better
  19. And who is to say he'd want to take that huge step down. Someone like Bournemouth might be a better move for him.
  20. Rod

    sunderland

Yet still the better team over both games.
  21. We are in advanced talks but no negotiations have taken place, makes sense
  22. Apparently Forest's physio and doctor are getting sacked today.
