The way football has changed bothers loads of fans. In the 60s-80s there wasn't anything like as much reason to fear the club being stripped of its ties to the community, city and history as there is now. Who the club is 'for' from the perspective of the owners has changed massively then. Consequently I think it's natural to want to hang on to what we've got, retain tradition etc.

Personally think having any sort of magpie on the design looks shite. If the person / persons who created the current iteration are still kicking about , get them to do it because every fucker else has been hopeless.

Tbf to Spurs the win over Frankfurt was a good one. I gave them very little chance once they drew the home leg. Man Utd’s win over Bilbao was also excellent, albeit the red card in the first leg changed everything. So if either of them fancied channeling that level of performance tonight…

Yeah, its not much of a story really (surprise surprise for the Chronic!). Apparently the Saudi guy is looking to invest into an English club, and its basically some financial expert (agreeing with what SJ said) suggesting the likes of Sunderland (because of the Netflix exposure) or Sheff Wed would be a better acquisition than the likes of Leeds who are out of his price range. Reckons either would still cost at least £100m though.

Yeah Joelinton's shoes are pretty big to fill, that's why I'm not that surprised that Howe turns to Willock. He might not have the phsyical presence, but he does cover the left flank pretty well. I think the 3 centre back/wing back combo is the next best thing with our current squad.
