  1. Past hour
  2. I'm a massive advocate for green spaces being retained/created in city centres. But the simple fact is that to get this passed, it would be an exchange as we've already talked at length about. The greenspace and subsequent maintenance would be down to the club to present to the council to get the agreement to build. The new park would take some time to establish - trees/hedgerows, but lets not kid the financial element of having a bigger stadium and more revenue into the city, let alone the revamped, nicer greenspace than Leazes currently is. Entirely daft protesting to the council about something which hasn't been announced, and public surveys, which require no real vetting or quantification, are a moot point. They also require a significant amount of signatures for anyone to even think about caring, not some mackems and a few people pissing their pants.

Change petitions never do anything in anyway.
  4. Scandalous? Ffs. I'm sure the "millions of pounds of taxpayers' money" spent on making it look like an oasis for wildlife (or the odd pidgeon/cow) was hard spent, but it would be nice to wait for the actual plans before the mackems and well meaning wetwipes start throwing petitions about.
  5. JT24

    St James' Park

Poor advice. Absolute amateur hour sending it to the council before any plans have been presented.
  6. Not really worth it if spending that much on a keeper stops us getting a new cb, rw and st/cm and it fucks us for a decade.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fuck me, first time on NO today and two pages of No Dickhead bullshit. Just shows how slim the transfer rumours are. The only firm target so far seems to be Trafford. While it's great 'n all, I think the area we must cover is striker/forward. The Jao Pedro links need to become firmer before I feel we are getting somewhere.
  8. She didn't mention the large number of rats roaming about, and as above, stressed Saudi super stadium. No agenda whatsoever though.

    St James' Park

On the other hand Leazes Park lost its green flag status and has been described by a volunteer of friends of leazes park as 'damaged beyond repair' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cnl090xvegno
  10. How can you object to something that hasn't been presented?
  11. Whole thing was just dripping of a personal agenda, obviously Ange took the piss out of him or something.
  12. JT24

    St James' Park

“Saudi super stadium” lmao No agenda there, though.
  13. With the caveat that I think £40m is uncomfortable (not steep), if he sorts you out in goal for a decade…
  14. As good as the rest of Pope's game is the fact that he is so bad with his feet really affects our ability to retain possession. I think it is a priority to get a long term replacement who is more comfortable with the ball at thieir feet.

  16. Nope, I don’t think there’s anything remotely likely about the transfer: age, wages, loan element, professional commitment etc are all no go areas for Howe
  17. Surely a keeper isn’t a priority, especially at 40 million
  18. The trouble with player exchanges is that the player in question might not want to
  19. SteV

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

People need to realise that Eddie isn’t interested in loans where there’s little to no chance of the player becoming a permanent signing. That’s not how he works. He’s completely different to someone like Emery. Grealish has two years left on his contract, so ignoring the arguments about his abilities (or not), and how he fits into our team (or not), the only way it would be viable is if Man City paid at least 50% of his wages for a season whilst on loan to us, then sold him to us for a reasonable fee with one year left, and he was willing to take at least a 50% pay cut. Anybody think that’s very likely?
  20. Steady on now. That's the sort of tomfoolery that causes ructions amongst our season ticket holding posters We're only talking about building up points as a way for match going members to get a degree of priority over members who don't go to games or make ballot applications Using Sunderland at home as an example. It'd prevent some wanksplat MLF from Pennywell or a tourist on a weekend in Newcastle from buying a £40 NUFC membership to give themselves a chance of getting a ticket in the home end When I was in Lisbon and the Sporting v Benfica title decider derby was on, I couldn't just buy a membership and get ticket because to buy a ticket you needed your membership to have a certain level of purchase history
  21. I agree with all of this, pretty much. Turning up your nose at Grealish is a bit strange to me. He's obviously talented and would bring quality. Question marks and red flags, yes, but Eddie coaching Grealish...would be interesting indeed.
  22. Can't get anymore Roy Evans than that.
