I'd say his (lack of) movement, runs and inability to get past a man on top of fluffing fairly easy chances is just as much, if not more, of the problem right now.

We are great at doing down our own players, he was a critical player for a team that finished 4th and 7th over the past two seasons. Yes he hasn’t played much since the turn of the year, but that is due to their being a better option in Tonali, rather than Longstaff being utterly bobbins. He's a better player than many on here give him credit for, just much like Willock he no longer fits into the way we play and the club has outgrown him. He will go elsewhere and be a success, I’ve no doubt.
