  1. Past hour
  2. Conjo

    Alexander Isak

If the team is expected to serve goals on a platter for our world class striker in order for him to score, we could literally play anyone up top and just cash in on Isak. I'd say his (lack of) movement, runs and inability to get past a man on top of fluffing fairly easy chances is just as much, if not more, of the problem right now.
  3. As a frequent flier from Newcastle to Bologna (still not directly, grrrr), this has been a lovely couple of months
  4. He's barely got a kick in months, Miley and Willock preferred when fit. He played an important part in previous seasons but he's not very good at all. 10 million is on the money I think. If he was looking back in form Howe would have used him more.
  5. Did you put that bet on Stockport to go up at the beginning of the season @Optimistic Nut?
  6. Under the right coach in the right team he could regain his form again, then you have a very good player.
  7. It's the thick end of £10m difference finishing 5th and 2nd, a significant difference for us but not for Arsenal or indeed City. Club motivation may well play a part on the next 2 hames
  8. Was linked last year I think but would Charlobah be a shout? Sounds like he might be on his way out of Chelsea in the summer. Not sure what his valuation is?
  9. Check out that Newcastle team that came in 4th. He was huge for us when we countered from a low block. But he got benched when our style changed.
  10. In fact, they've only beaten 4 teams NOT in the relegation zone all season. City, Fulham (twice), Everton and Brentford. That's abysmal by any measures you care to use
  11. Not sure what he would bring to a counter attacking side tbh.
  12. Man U have only beaten 1 team outside of the relegation teams since the middle of December (Fulham away). They're losing their last 2 games, they're absolute pigshit
  13. Yeah, he's not really cut out for possession football, is he? He'd be much better in a low block counter-attacking team. Places like Nottingham Forest, Everton, or Crystal Palace would be perfect for him.
  14. wednesday night gigs are the hardest.
  15. Nearly 4000 there tonight, about 2/3 of them supporting Morpeth.Thought Stan deserved the win, it definitely didn't look like there's a division between the two sides. Could get used to this winning trophies malarkey.
  16. We are great at doing down our own players, he was a critical player for a team that finished 4th and 7th over the past two seasons. Yes he hasn’t played much since the turn of the year, but that is due to their being a better option in Tonali, rather than Longstaff being utterly bobbins. He's a better player than many on here give him credit for, just much like Willock he no longer fits into the way we play and the club has outgrown him. He will go elsewhere and be a success, I’ve no doubt.
  17. Realistically a Villa draw would make it practically certain unless there’s a crazy swing. edit would still need a point
  18. Ajax followed this form up with a 2-2 draw against Groningen tonight. PSV won again to go a point clear ahead of the final match, an absolute collapse by Ajax. The hosts were down to 10 men, but equalised in the 99th minute
  19. Good to see Heaton win the Newcastle Flooring Senior Cup. Their Mexican striker could be heard chanting underlay underlay in the changing rooms at full time.
  20. Today
  21. I was thinking of going to this with Wednesday being one of my office days, but completely forgot, but Stan have beaten Morpeth on pens (after a 0-0 draw) to win the Senior Cup.
  22. If Villa lose and either Chelsea or Forest drop points its done in all but theory.
  23. Scoot

    St James' Park

    Easy as that eh!
  24. Amazing how shit Milan are these days. Barely a star amongst them.
  25. Supposedly R Madrid bound Reijnders linked to Man City Leao - so inconsistent
