NUFC kits & merchandise - 2025/26 home kit leaked pg. 825

I can’t really comment on where the info comes from I’m afraid. Just happy to share what I hear. -
Not arsed really since I don't take most links that seriously.
-
I like him too. Has many good attributes and only 20 years old. Might be a shrewd move. Can never underestimate what a change of scenery can do with more quality around him. (And Howe)
-
Really don't like us being linked to established high profile strikers as the immediate conclusion I draw is that we're selling Isak.
-
Big fan. He's a good player.
-
Opta have us down as finishing 3rd on 69 points. It has Man City a point behind us, so obviously assumes that we’ll lose to Arsenal, and Man City will also lose a game. In what can only be seen as an error, they have Villa finishing 5th level on points with Chelsea, but Chelsea’s GD is much higher than Villa’s. They only have Forest down as drawing their next game, and presumably losing to Chelsea.
-
If we get Mbeumo, Fernandes (Southampton), Guehi and Trafford and sell/release Wilson, Willock, Longstaff, Lascelles, Dubravka and Targett, that would be a good window i reckon

Dunno what it is about AI design but everything just looks so wrong. -
I’m not sure. We needed versatility before because we didn’t have 11 PL quality players and/or we had nobody capable of playing a given position competently. Of course it’s nice to be versatile but it’s something a well managed squad should really need that much of IMO.
-
Having lost Anderson because of this bollocks last season would be nice to be able to reap the benefits of it this season. Swings and roundabouts ayy.

Northumberland one is vile -
We had some cracking keeper tops too. Shame adidas don't give a fuck about them anymore. Seahorse purple, Tyne bridge, the green one in the same sesaon, even the Hislop/Pav blue grey ones were great.

Yeah but they obviously couldn't get past thinking ours was better. -
Looked decent against us, if memory serves.

Don’t see why it needs changing but if it has to be simpler design, I wouldn’t be massively upset with this. -
Would like to see us play the ball more into the central zone between the centre circle and the opposition penalty area. Think it's zone 11 and 14 when they divvy up the pitch. Ideally it would not be Isak receiving the ball here but one of our wide forwards or one of the CMs. Bruno has the passing skills to make that work but not the pace to escape a recovering defender. JL has the power and pace to drive forward but lacks the ability to play a killer ball (his stats bear this out). I don't honestly think Gordon or Murphy can do it either. Barnes, maybe.... It's very much a position Bournemouth use to great effect. It really opens a team up. We've seen it done to us. We love going down the wings. We're very cross heavy. We're 3rd so it's clearly got lots of merit. When we occasionally go through the middle though I think Isak really comes alive.

yeah, my personal feelings are that it’s either strongly based off the current badge or we use one of the older badges. All the new designs I’ve seen people doing just look really shit and just aren’t Newcastle United to me. -
Kind of, but even then you have Dan Burn, who played a very competent LB for ages. Krafth too. And we will need versatility in the system they can play, too. I think it's different but even by CB standards, I still think we want versatile players.
-
Agree, but I think you can except CB from the list as well.
-
If we have learned anything from the last few seasons, it's that Howe prizes versatility more than most. I would imagine that every player we target (apart from Trafford obv) would be able to play multiple positions at a high level. Any rumour involving anyone who doesn't can be immediately dismissed.

I’d even buy that 2nd one.
