  1. Past hour
  2. He was my favourite player and I think our most important player in 23/24, its the seeming drop in commitment and the terrible body language which happened to coincide with talk of a move to Liverpool. He completely won me over, I didn't dislike him, liked his fight, just didnt think he was all that good. He hasn't seemed happy to be here this year, like he wished he got a move and it seems like its on his mind. Would love to see him committed again, not many like him when he is. Drags the team with him by force of will when he wants it.
  3. Could see scousers coming in for Gordon if Diaz goes, but wouldn’t want Barnes as first choice on the left next season. Selling Gordon is only an option if we’ve got a top drawer replacement lined up.
  4. Yeah. I don't want to lose Tino at any cost really. We are still a year or two away from shahar coming up. He is irreplaceable. Hall and Tino have us covered for a decade. I doubt they both stay that long but they cover us until we have real depth coming through the academy regularly.
  5. Christ, Delaney’s such an insufferable prat.
  6. Tino is absolute class. The fact that he can play on the left or right and still be A FUCKING BRICK WALL is more or less irreplaceable. If you're building a team for the future Tino is without doubt a big part of that.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Don’t know why but always more wary of transfer gossip at weekends. Not as if journalists work 24/7. They’ll have their time off also
  8. wormy

    Tino Livramento

It's what makes getting them both at the same time even more satisfying in that they compliment each other so well in their strengths and also why I don't like/see much point in comparing which is better because they're such wildly different versions of full back. In time Hall could become our closest replacement to Trippier as far as contributing from deep, while Tino can be the one that focuses on staying back and supporting the CBs, with the odd foray forward when the opportunity arises. Effectively swapping the roles from when we had Trips/Burn on either side. They seem naturally close on a personal level too, which can only be a good thing. Guess it makes sense when two young English lads playing the same but opposite role arrive at the same time.
  9. Man Utd are the only club in the world that can carry a debt of £800m and still function somewhat normally. Every other club would have been declared bankrupt years ago.
  10. Theregulars

    João Pedro

He knows ball. To be fair to him I think he does actually know the game pretty well, always an informative and thoughtful read.
  11. Just came across this again. People in football ye knaa
  12. It is? Who would you bring in?
  13. Man Utd are a money making machine that has to be respected. Is Rat Boy currently sacking all these people
  14. Ben

    Tino Livramento

    I 1000% disagree with you
  15. Agreed - it’s very noticeable he’s better on the left. Was it because he only had Murphy in front of him on the right?! Not sure. Regardless - if he stays, brilliant. If he leaves for a lot of money, then we have Hall at left back and can get a cheap enough right defender. It’s one of the easiest positions to replace.

    João Pedro

I love Barnes myself and would hope not but both Pedro and Elanga can cover that position. I don't know, just get the impression even when Barnes was in great form he was always one bad performance away from being dropped and he'd always be the one shifted over to the right despite being totally ineffective there.
  17. Yeah, talk of this has started doing the rounds. Once Man Utd put in that lower bid and were taking their time, and Frank was confirmed at Spurs, I mentioned that I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. Levy loves a hijack, and he'd easily pay that £60 million Brentford want, with the Champions League money secured and having hired the man that got the best out of Mbeumo. He also paid similar for Solanke last year without much hesitation. Could get very interesting.
  18. Still has to improve his final ball but everything else about his game is near enough perfect. It is strange how he's noticeably better on the left, though.
  19. Today
  20. A club £600,000,000 in debt being allowed to spend another £100,000,000+ is nuts.
  21. He's brilliant going forward. Has that ability of being able to carry the ball half the length the pitch and give it to a team mate. Massive quality to have .
  22. Spurs in for Mbuemo apparently.
  23. Nine

    João Pedro

I’d be disappointed, we’d finally get to the point of having real depth out wide (assuming we sign a RW) only to lose it instantly. If we need to make a sale I think there are better options. Let’s not forget this guy took Gordon’s spot and held it from him.
  24. KaKa

    Tino Livramento

Yeah, they're both excellent young full backs in different ways. Always been more of a Tino guy, because I love his ability to just shut down opposing wingers, which is so easy to overlook. Also think we haven't seen his full potential unlocked going forward down that right side, because of the players we've used ahead of him on the wing, as they don't combine well with an overlapping full back.
  25. These things. Creepy as hell. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/14GARuDsvJR/
  26. I'd be devastated if we sold Tino this summer like.
