  1. Past hour
  2. We weren’t a counter attacking team at all when we finished 4th. We pressed more than we ever have under Howe.
  3. A favour for one of his American mates who owns Chelsea? £20m is peanuts to him but helps his mates justify the £200m valuation, just a thought!
  4. Don't see any complication here. If it's given as offside straight away he doesn't clatter into the post; it's a simple as that. Other hypothetical scenarios are irrelevant.
  5. If the flag had been raised straight away for offside he wouldn't have been chasing a lost cause. My point is that the incident was avoidable in this case.
  6. Think the Forest owners using a bit deflection of his behaviour tbh. He was massively pissed off that they hadn’t won and that the player should have come off. He had no idea how serious the injury was, stating otherwise and of his primary concern being player safety, is just bollocks. He was watching his Champs League money slip through his fingers.
  7. This 👍 Interesting that clip of Sandro, when asked "who's the most underrated player you've played with (ever)" Replies "Sean Longstaff" Seems, to some, both Eddie Howe AND Sandro Tonali know jack shit 😂😂😂
  8. Looked an absolute clip when out with Pickford, cheering against us incidentally the fucking cunt. Hardest of hard passes.
  9. Makes it slightly harder to argue with the £200m valuation when someone external takes 10% at that price. Fuckers. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cn05x60p8dro
  10. Aye it’s not about the offside procedure or VAR. He could have been a yard further back, comfortably onside and still had the same injury.
  11. Spot on. Rip off Britain, I think it's called.
  12. Have realised that the club aren't thick, so this won't actually be in consideration. This is gonna be the terrible choice they give for fans to invest their disgust into, which will make the preferred actual option appear the best. This fan involvement will be a front btw. They have made up their mind, but they need to do this process to onboard everyone as best they can.
  13. Agreed to both of the above posts. I find it quite bizarre people are putting the blame on VAR with this. There's been plenty of accidents in football long before VAR.
  14. Forest on the attack, linesman incorrectly flags for offside and Leicester get a free-kick. Leicester go on the attack and Vardy smashes into the goalpost from an attack which could have been prevented if VAR was about to give the officials a second glance. Who's the blame or are both instances just freak accidents?
  15. Given his recent form, to play regularly here, he would, ahem, have to pull his socks up.
  16. If it's the first time that it's happened in 6 years, surely that's proof that it doesn't increase the liklihood of injuries?
  17. Take your point, but personally think all the furore over VAR making players run more and increasing risk of injury directly and indirectly (because they’re unnecessarily more tired) is pretty ridiculous. Such a relatively small additional amount of routine play, ignores rest periods whilst they work out the correct decision, and basically anything that happens is a possible outcome of playing competitive sport.
  18. Pulisic I’d like as RW. Think he’d be a very good player under Howe. Moved there for £20m, 2 years left on average wages, so may be something we get linked with. But like Maignan and few others, they were supposedly signing new contracts earlier in year but nothing happened.
  19. Nice traditional stadium, good heritage, passionate fans. Would like to see The Blades back in the big show.
  20. Just read Keegan’s autobiography. The corporate interference (and incompetence) made me properly cringe. Fucking awful he had to go through what he did with those chancers. Sounds like some dubious practices, what Mr Wise-not wise (who apparently toted around an exercise book with MrWise’s book written on it) called a ‘commercial’ (deal) haven’t ceased — thinking of recent signing of Vlachodimos (had to look up his name…).
  21. I don't see how it can be anything other than a dreadful look for VAR imo. It's outright proof that it's existence increases the likelihood of injuries. Not by a lot, obviously; it's a pretty uncommon event. But the fact is, if it doesn't exist then the guy doesn't rupture his intestine.
  22. Today
  23. Green Tyne Bridge is genius! @Kid Icarus (on condition they pay to have it refurbed!)
  24. Just seen a video made by someone who was there lastnight. Apparently the club have said it won’t be a circular badge.
  25. I’m all for it. He’d also have some kind of shit mural on the wall - “Live, Laugh, Love” or similar shite.
  26. He'll go to Villa surely?
  27. Why you need a good scouting system. I maintain from the FFP thread, we don’t need to have their levels of spending to challenge for league and win, if we have spurs level that’s more than enough. Beyond that, it’s just overspending for the sake of it. There’s plenty of good quality players out there, just need to find them with a patient approach and have a top manager.
