  1. Past hour
  2. Don't care. Due to their ownership both aren't title threats IMO. Due to finances Man U in particular will always be competitive. But Levy will never spend the money and Man U won't make enough compounded good decisions. Both of their managers aren't the right men for the jobs.
  3. Its the haircut for Parmer, looks like been cut by a blind man on meth.
  4. Given Ratcliffe’s pleading of poverty, onerous legacy contracts and £30m drop off in league position merit money this season, plus adidas being able to pay them less sponsorship money for failing to make the CL I’m all for seeing these arrogant dickheads brought down a peg or two and brought out of their media fluffing bubble into cold hard reality. Plus @leffe186 isn’t anywhere near the despicable wind up merchant as@Froggy is! Last season they made £37m in merit payments from U.K. and International. This season 16th would net them £14m and 17th £11.3m. By contrast we got £39.4m and could go up to either £53.5m for 2nd. No CL would see them drop the c.€50m they’ve earned in the EL for reaching the final with no European revenue coming in. That’s another chunky drop off. Then reduced payments from adidas - £10m a season deductible for not being in the CL. Brexit Jim will have to find a lot of dinner ladies and stewards to sack to make up that shortfall.
  5. Salah has had one of the weirdest player of the year seasons I've seen as well. I don't think I've watched a match this season where he's been a massive threat every time he's had the ball, or dominated the opposition defence like we've seen him do in the past. He picks his moments to be clinical or pull something put of a hat and gets on the ball enough that eventually it'll happen. It hasn't been a Salah season that we'd expect yet his output has been crazy. I think his match against us at home summed up his season in a way. Pretty quiet, Hall dealt with him really well yet he scored 2 goals, got an assist and hit the bar.
  6. I get that, what I was getting at is that winning this years EL isn't something that'll change the fabric of who you are. Winning the LC was transformational for us, winning the EL would be for Spurs, winning the FA Cup would be for Palace. If you win the EL, it isn't going to be a particuarly useful weapon for you in the bragging right war against City & Liverpool, all it'll do is redeem a catastrophic season somewhat
  7. Arsenal need 2 top quality attackers. Martinelli is not at the level.
  8. What a shit talking metaphor analogy ballbag. Destroy them!
  9. Everton is exactly the kind of banana skin that requires focus and a top performance. More concerned about that than Arsenal personally.
  10. You’re the most guilty one on here of doing that.
  11. Another post declaring that Sunderland are primed to be a top half PL team. A feat they've achieved 3 times in living memory. Also, a gentle reminder that Sunderland have scored a grand total of 5 goals in their European history. That would make them our joint 9th top scorers.
  12. A lot. People need to stop looking at us like we're the Man United of the 90's and 00's. Winning any trophy is huge, especially with how poor the season is without it.
  13. Harry Kane does it a lot. If he can't win it, he'll back into a player. It's one of those things that need to be outlawed from the game. Immediate yellow. It's dangerous. Chelsea are a pretty small team. I think it's a deliberate tactic from the coach. I get the idea of "if you can't win it, make it difficult for the opponent" but those snide back-ins and forearms to the face is too far.
  14. That’s great work mate - many thanks. And that’s a pretty incredible record tbh
  15. Annoyingly the right type of profile they need in CM.
  16. Don't want to tempt fate but It's done as dusted now as far as I am concerned , winning yesterday sealed it. Everton will be awkward but we are a much better team and no way will we throw away champions league on the final day by not beating them .
  17. This is childish and petty. They are 16th/17th, winning the UEFA cup wouldn't overshadow our season, where we've won a trophy and could potentially have a 2nd place finish. The UEFA cup win is a nice cherry on shit show of a cake. More so for Man U. Palace over City for obvious reasons, you'd expect Newcastle to be able empathise with position.
  18. Boo Boy

    Lewis Miley

Miley should have had an assist yesterday until Barnes decided to have a first touch like a blacksmith
  19. Rather Spurs, Man U could be in real terminal decline without CL money and status. They'd be able to fire their fraudulent manager and potentially get things sorted top down.
  20. As much as it pains me to say it, but Man Utd are the preferred option. It’s simply down to how you say, they are PSR resilient. Spurs less so long term. Additionally it maybe a case of their story overshadowing ours, same with Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
  21. Roids

    Lewis Miley

He's 19, not everyone is going to be Cesc or even Jude to a lesser extent. It's extremely hard to be ready as a CM at that age. He clearly has talent, needs time to develop. More playing time/loan out (feeder club pls) would help massively.
  22. Looks like he does none. Common thought is *some* strength training will help prevent injuries. Will literally give you stronger ligaments and connective tissues etc. but if he thinks it will increase his injury record then it will increase his injury record. There's a sprinter. Who was world class that never did weights. He finally started lifting in his mid 30's... then started getting PBs at a time when he should've started slowing down.... and it was attributed to the weights. Think it's Kim Collins. He hardly hulked up either. Might be PEDs.
  23. It look liked Chelsea tried to target him when he came on and he didn't put a foot wrong. I remember this dude looked horrendous under Capt. Steak Bakes and was one of the first I wanted us to bomb out but he's done well whenever he's been called upon. There'll always be a place in our squad for an experienced, reliable and versatile pro who can stand up and be counted when he's needed the most.
