It should still matter. For example Man Ut’d debt has only increased. There should be a clause that says you must pay off a percentage of your loan each year, and another that says your debt can only be your annual income multiplied by so much.

Something just doesn’t seem quite right about paying more than double for a player who has pretty much stayed around the same level as his previous club. Had two of them already though, so in terms of how much ‘stronger’ they are from the end of last season, it’s basically negligible (unless you want to count the manager, which I suppose is fair enough)
