  1. I'd have kept Isak back and played Osula but fair play, he's taking it seriously and has excellent options off the bench
  2. Nothing startling about it, all obvious choices but the aggregate was 20-0
  3. I don't care whether he signs or not but I am interested in the reaction regardless. Love to see a good boot off

It's mad. It would be a club record signing and I genuinely couldn't give the first fuck if he signs or not, I gave up on this deal last week. It's mental to think it's still not been resolved about a month after it first broke Totally ambivalent now but it'll be interesting to see the reaction either way
  5. They're all nice but the GAIS one is top tier

By christ, there's some tetchy motherfuckers about atm. Just blasted through about 8 pages - fuck me
  7. Another good signing for them unfortunately. I think they'll win the league this season. They're an Isak away from going very deep in the CL too

I just think if we've chased him for a month and subsequently don't get him we do look a bit daft. Or incapable of closing a deal on our #1 target? Either way it looks pretty shit if you're Mitchell

Thing is their egos are looking like they're going to be very bruised regardless of what happens now: We chase him for 5 weeks and still don't land him - they look stupid We eventually close the deal but we end up overpaying and caving in to Palace's demands - they look weak

To pinch Carlin's metaphor a bit - the transfer window is a complete and utter freak show, being a Newcastle fan gives you a front row seat. We're all watching it but we just get a closer look at it
  11. It's not perfect but it does kind of tell the story of the game. We started and finished the game well and the subs had an immediate impact

That's even better. Let's add a gallon of alcohol into people then sign no fucker. You'll see the smoke for miles

Can't wait for Thursday night now Going to be like a bomb going off, the rage will genuinely make some people completely lose their shit

    Joelinton

Incident capped a really disappointing performance from him. Started slowly and never got into the game, looked a yard short, caught in possession and responsible for their goal. Looked sluggish (not the only one mind) and never got to grips with the LW position. Even when trying to stop the quick throw at the end he fucked that up too, the photos look bad but I don't think there was much malice in it, he just took the keeper out almost by the neck when he could have just given him a little nudge and avoided a card altogether. Was fully expecting the red to come out, it was a bit comical as it was such an unusual way of doing that type of thing

Absolutely, yeah. Fernandinho was a master at it and usually got away with 2 a game before he was eventually booked. I think every team does it now to some extent so it invariably has an impact on most games I'm trying to watch and enjoy which is why it fucks me off so much

I'm at the point now where I'm just telling him to launch it down the line or down the middle if he's under any pressure. I get the fact we're trying to play it out and build nice attacks from the back as it's a bit fashionable but he's not up to that technically. He's a great keeper and I'm not having a go but he's really poor with the ball so let's limit that as much as possible and just deal with the second ball, eh? Seems like the more we trust him in our own third the more likely we are to concede. He can still do the sweeper/keeper thing but it's got to go long when it trickles through to him. Play the percentages

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Based on the 2 league fixtures that Joelinton has appeared in I'd say he's had a satisfactory start to the season

Wholeheartedly agree, I normally check the teams on Fotmob as soon as they're out then actually switch it on about 5 mins before kick off. Mute on the HT whistle, unmute as the second half kicks off then the whole thing goes off 5 mins after FT. Any interviews I catch online Liverpool matches are different. Switch on with 5 mins to kick off, mute immediately, wait until 5 mins in, unmute. Switch channels at HT, back for second half, mute on 85, off immediately on FT. It's working wonders tbh and the shite I see and listen too has decreased by at least 90%, thoroughly recommend it to all

Always mute Liverpool home games until about 2 mins in. It's unbearable and I actually think the weekly rimming they receive is getting deeper and deeper
  20. Napoli - Bologna has started a 100mph

    Harvey Barnes

Mentioned it in the match thread, Barnes gets his head down and pulls the trigger - which is fair enough tbh, he was in and clear and not a horrendous mistake.... But if he lifts his head and squares it then it's a tap in for Isak. Not a biggy but them's the breaks sometimes

    Sean Longstaff

Agree with every word but I'd swap your 'vision' for 'ability'. Or maybe it's both? So frustrating to watch him try and create anything. He's capable of digging in and working hard like last week but nothing constructive at all unfortunately
  23. I think if you read the match thread you'll find a lot of us actually thought the goal should have stood and Joelinton could very easily have gone. Nowhere near as blinkered as you'd imagine
  24. Absolutely, aye He does like to phase players in slowly but in this instance it needs to be immediate. He's been at the club for well over a year now, he needs to be thrown straight in, would be an instant improvement
