To take only 3 points from 15 on the road from Villa, Leeds, Bournemouth, Brighton and West Ham would be pretty abject. Performance is completely off yet again but not an isolated event in the league
-
Wretched 45 mins that. Simply can't get any worse than that in the second half. Needs a change of personnel and attitude, too many coasting, awful awful stuff from too many players
-
Get fucked man. Last kick of the fucking half
-
Exceptionally shit this mind, got to be said. We look shocking tbph, errors all over the pitch and really lethargic, they need a rocket
-
Gordon needs to get his shit in a pile. Absolutely can not be losing in that area while his cm and lb are 20 yards ahead of him

Without a doubt my favourite footballer at the club, possibly ever. Love watching players who make the difficult things look absolutely routine and this is all he dies these days. He's got the lot and is a complete player, there's nothing he struggles with regardless of opposition, competition or venue he delivers virtually every single time. He walks into just about every team on the planet he's that good and I don't say that very often, he's fucking phenomenal. He's not a Rolls Royce either, he's an Aston Martin

It is tbh. I know we had a lot of unheaval in the summer and lost the main man (at the time) but we're now seeing the upside of cashing in. Woltemade looks incredible and it was really noticeable for the first time how strong we looked on the pitch AND have mint options off the bench against a really strong and confident team in Spurs. It also means the spine of the team is now rested for West Ham on Sunday. 3 points there and follow that up with a big night at home to Bilbao followed by Brentford and we'll be in good shape in all 3 comps so far. The joys of simply having a squad now and it's only going to get stronger as we continue to add to it. Legit statement win that demonstrated the quality we now have and we can now mix it up without lowering the performance levels despite making so many changes. We're firmly on the upwards spiral now
-
First time in decades we've been able to make 8 changes to the first team and it's looked almost seamless. Spurs dispatched comfortably, quality on the pitch and even more on the bench. Games like last night are only possible because we raised the floor of the squad dramatically over the summer, we've now got that depth and it showed massively. There's still Wissa, Hall and Tino to add to what we were able to name last night. And we should, in theory, be able to add to this squad in January and again in the summer
-
Wouldn't mind him coming in for a few games at RB and letting Trippier fill in at LB while we're still waiting for Hall and Tino to get back up and running. Burn has been a bit exposed for the last few weeks (not his fault and he's done a sterling job) but it's not going to last forever. He needs a break eventually too and Trippier is still more than good enough to do it Looked rock solid last night at RB, not once did I worry about our right hand side

Zwei meter dribblemeister. What a fucking player

Spurs should have seen Spence sorting his boots out and put someone extra in the box to stand in. No sympathy at all, that's fucking bullshit. You play the cards you're dealt, he's out of position? Someone else tucks in and compensates, it's a team game, it's professional football, you can't just wait until everything is perfect and everyone is sorted Absolute arseholes saying it had an impact. It only had an impact because the team didn't react and fill in
-
No point grumbling about the team, we have to rotate this season or we'll be fucked. We've got a squad and I've got no objections to Howe using it and resting players who need it, I know it's running the risk of getting dumped out of the Cup tonight but the big picture is that it's still a strong team with a strong bench and seeing 3 or 4 come on after 55 mins wouldn't be awful. It's also probably the least important competition we're still in being realistic and we've got other bigger matches on the horizon. Fair play to Howe for mixing it up, can't have it both ways
-
It's still going to come down to a few mm either way though, it'll change the emphasis from looking for a piece of body overlapping into looking for a gap but it'll still, essentially, be the same process driven by VAR - who I have zero faith or confidence in. They'll still draw the line and they'll still take ages and they'll still be accountable for stopping the footage at the correct time and using the correct body parts (arms) to draw the lines and make the decision. Happy to give it a go and see what happens but I think it's not going to be that different in practise. It's the people using and implementing VAR that are the issue for me - they're fucking useless
-
It's not where you're from, it's where you're at
-
The Wenger thing just moves the line (in favour of the attacker obviously) to a different place. I can't see it making too much of an impact either way tbh, teams will either sit deeper to reduce the affect or play suicidal offside traps and cross their fingers they get it right. Struggling to see the benefits really - currently we're trying to see the overlap, it'll just change into looking for the gap, it's 6 and 2 threes

If a bank loan sorted PSR then it seems baffling that we haven't done it in the last 3 or 4 years...

Rodgers will inevitably move into the Managerial Consultant role soon. Can't do the job himself so he'll be the perfect choice for clubs to hire when they can't make their own mind's up. He'll be fine
-
Would love the patronising cunt to explain how he arranged these particular 10 players. Explain why Dixie Dean is better than Neymar please. Salah is poorer than Son? The piece of shit never even saw some of these cunts play
-
Exactly. And that's 100 yards away on solid ground I think we can rule sky stadia for the next century or so at least
-
'Almost'? You think it has any chance whatsoever?

Slot is basically admitting that he can't coach his team well enough to deal with the aerial threats into their own box. He knows it's coming, he's complaining about it publically and he's got no option but to try and shame teams into not doing it as it's making them look bad. He's highlighting his own team's vulnerabilities and his own incompetence to put things in place to mitigate it despite spending about £400m in the summer And this fucker wants sympathy? Their late goals in the first month of the season papered over the cracks, he's in the process of completely fucking it. He's looking and sounding absolutely desperate at this stage
