I think any manager at any club needs to be flexible and adapt things depending on the situation. Not every game is the same and setting up in exactly the same way week in, week out leads to you becoming sterile, predictable and easier to play against. Got no objection to having a preferred formation but if it's clearly not working then mix it up a bit ffs, make the opposition alter their shape, throw a curveball in there from time to time. Inflexibility and stubbornness aren't useful traits to have as a manager.

We've been here before. It doesn't end well. Such a frustrating club to support.
-
1-1 Gayle and Ince.

Seeing the whole picture, Darlow had nothing to gain by coming off his line. Clark heads it out, no bother. Clark heads it towards goal, easy save, Clark misses it, goal kick or collect it on the second bounce. Wank keeping.
-
Needs to be dropped for his and our own good. Looks a bit of a liability atm.

Loved how sky showed it in slo mo from 4 angles and didn't even mention or show the stamp from the qpr player. Hat's off sky, no bias there at all.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Still got to go to Brighton, huddersfield, reading and Sheff wed. Playing poorly, conceding poor goals, lack of belief and resilience and no fresh faces to change things with. I'm worried like, tonight wasn't a blip or a one-off either. I'm down to a 7, still think we'll do it but it'll be close. Teams chasing us can do what we can't. -
Darlow's fault 100% imo. He can see exactly what's happening, there was no challenge to Clark. Stay on your line and mop it up. Poor keeping.

Zero resilience, leadership or bollocks. Brittle and fucking yellow. -
Absolute fucking pigshit. Same old story.

N'Golo Kanté has made more tackles & interceptions (408) than any player in the last three PL seasons. He's only been here for two.

Bookies seemingly couldn't give a fuck, were still largely 1/25 to 1/33 to go up. Can't say I'm that confident but bookies have been wrong in the past. -
The problem with those analogies is that we ain't broke. All the more reason to just fucking pay it then.
-
Sometimes you've just got to bite the bullet and pay up. You may not like it, it may pinch a bit and you resent doing it but it's often worth it to get you out of the shit and/or ensure things are sorted. Boiler breaks in December? Get it fixed. Break down 150 miles from home? get it fixed. Miss your train home and have to pay triple to get back? Pay it. We've chosen to not pay it. Might work out, might not, why take the fucking chance though? Fucking arseholes.
-
It's the fact we're back to penny pinching, saving every penny we can, taking a chance, crossing our fingers and hoping things will be ok. It's a step backwards in mentality, I thought we were past this, head in the sand, not listening and them thinking they know best that's the most disappointing thing. Nothing's changed, the still see saving 2 million as being more important than cementing promotion. They're still fucking short sighted, arrogant, mean, stubborn pricks. It's so frustrating. Cunts.
-
Potentially huge mistake, not just the failure to strengthen but the failure to back Benitez when he specifically asked for it. Massive mistake imo. At least we saved a couple of mill though.
-
Their game at Palace is monumental now. Lose that and I reckon they're just about done.
-
 wtf Sure it's happened in baseball. Player got traded whilst playing and got pulled in the 7th or something like that.
-
Pride comes before a fall. There's a time and a place for digging your heels in and refusing to compromise but this isn't it. 2 million quid is fuck all, rivals have strengthened and we've seemingly refused to budge on the loan fee. That 2 million quid could be far costlier come May.
-
Tonight's game is exactly the type of fixture they win to start a bit of a run.
-
Compared him to Essien, the mad cunt.
-
With the cash Palace are reportedly throwing around you'd think they would want to claw a bit back. I think it'll happen.
-
Bore off, you cunt. Any need?
-
Haggling over a couple of million quid, pfft, its fuck all*. Surely they'll reach a compromise and it'll get done. Putting him in the side for the remaining games virtually seals promotion. Bite the bullet, pay the money and get him out in the park, it's a huge month. *relatively speaking

Excellent. Either Atsu or Mbemba back after the 2 nations play each other tomorrow afternoon too.
