You mean to say that we're not allowed to count Mirandinha? Aye, but you're forgetting that he was up here before football was invented in 1992.
-
I think he is overpriced, but i would put money on it that he scores more goals for spurs, than owen does for newcastle. If i was a spurs fan, given a straight choice id have bent over carrick 7 days a week. I know it's childish....

Not exactly beyond the realms of possibility is it? No reason to suggest he's lying as he's been proved right in the past. Beye's got to be an improvement on Carr, Shirley?

Just a bit too young to recall that one but I do remember sitting in front of the telly being mesmerised at the Quarter Final between France and Brazil in Mexico '86. Game finished 1-1 and the frogs won on pens. Platini was the best in the world at that time, bar none. Great team, great game. That was a fantastic game too like and I almost mentioned it in my post. The Brazil side had some of the '82 side but they were past their peak a bit. Platini was fantastic at the time and had been two years earlier in the Euro Championships when he guided them to victory. I'm going to have to pull you up though as Maradona was better at the time. How could you forget him in '86 man? I relent, Maradona was the best at that time but Platini was a very close second. I think France were just about the best team of that era but Maradona was sensational and won that World Cup virtually single-handedly Both top, top players. Aye, France beaten in the semis by the Jormans just like they were four years earlier. In '82 the final should have been Brazil v France and the Frogs were unlucky to be so drained from that quarter against Brazil in '86 too. They could have easily won both tournaments with the players they had. Especially in midfield. I loved Platini like. Did you know he was top scorer in Serie A three years running at around that time whilst at Juventus? Some achievement for a midfielder even if he did take all the free-kicks/penalties. I knew he took the pens like and always seemed like Robson with a boat-load of skill. Arriving late in the box to finish moves off. How old are you again? You must have a few years on me if you can still remember details of '82. I can remember bits and pieces of '82 but '86 was the first World Cup I can remember. I'm 32 but I can remember Espana '82 pretty well even though I was only 7 (and 3/4 ) at the time. England went home unbeaten winning 3 and drawing 2 as well but they had a daft 3 group stage instead of last 16/ quarter finals. I can especially remember Brazil's matches and England's. Also the France - W Germany semi and the final. Italy - Brazil stands out though. Aye, you've got a year or two on me! Is it just me, or were games better back then? Genuinely can't even remember the other Semi Finalists of either 2002 or 2006.

Surely he'd have to pass some kind of medical before he signs?...
-
Was wondering how long it would be before we saw a team, bearing in mind no-one knows who we originally went out here to scout...

Triple swoop. Eto'o, Deco and Edmilson.

Like the sound of this like.

He's been knobbing a lass from Heaton and blatantly wants to play up here for us. ITK. She's called Susan and he's called Carlos apparently. That's what I've heard. -
Who the fuck voted? Bloody Hell http://www.pubsnewcastle.co.uk/BestBarNone.html Apparently the best three "bars" in Newcastle are Shearer's, the Quilted Camel and Yates's. bluelaugh.gif Not a fucking PATCH on the Union Rooms... Union Rooms is shite. Bouncers and bar staff ID you constantly, place stinks of piss, drinks taste like piss and generally the place reminds me of piss. Go round the corner to O'Neill's. So you don't like it then?

Can't see what the problem is with either of the clauses tbh. We paid way over the odds for Owen and getting £9m for a bloke with just 2 years left on his contract is decent business imo. (straight-line depreciation etc...) We paid way over the odds for Urberfemi and turning a £3m profit in 11 months represents good value and a good move on behalf of Shepherd. If we lose both then fair enough - they don't want to be here. Fuck 'em. Don't want to see anybody at the club who doesn't want to play for NUFC. Money in the bank > unhappy player.

That's a first plan from years ago that got knocked back they're gonna release the final design soon. correct, they have changed it, and increesed the capacity to 70 thousand. The kop stand holding 20 thousand... ...plus however many storm the turnstiles.

Shift the little fat bastard asap. Looked good at Spurs for a couple of seasons but he's clearly wank and we need better.

Quite like the design in the OP. At first glance it looks a bit odd but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Would certainly make a change from the dogshit designs of the SoS, Pride Park, Riverside, JJB etc. A bit like the Guggenheim in Bilbao.
-
Canny player but always struck me as being soft as shit. Would never cope with the physical nature of our league. He'd get kicked to shit every weekend and we're best of targeting someone else tbh.
-
blueyes.gif This makes me like Barca even more. The contrast between the 2 giants of spanish football is ridiculous.
-
It's spelt 'Thanks', mate. He used his elbows man.
-
Would be an excellent signing who could fill a few positions if needed. To get him for nowt is just a bonus.

Have a look at these lists and tell me who you'd sooner have.... Barton, Viduka, Rozehnal, Beye. or.... Gattuso, Ashton, Andrade, Miguel. Three of those would be coming only for the money at this stage. I don't want that. Exactly. The right player at the right price for the right reasons. Allardyce should be targetting the best talent in Europe. Preferably young but definitely hungry. blueyes.gif
